I have been buying this food for about 2 years now. It Was a wonderful food and I recommended it to my mother and friends. We all have pure breed Pit bulls and this was a great quality food with no grain and no chicken for the price. Well over the last month I have noticed that the kibble pieces are smaller and a lighter color. Since the food has changed my mother's dog who is 10 years old has had very bad gastrointestinal issues and has had to go on prescription food because this food has caused him so many problems My dog is 4 years old and it has given her bad gas and loose stool causing her to #2 every few hours which she never did before. We live in Georgia and my friend in Florida her dog who is 6 years old has been throwing up and diarrhea non stop. I don't know what was done to this food but this new formula is the worst!! I was wondering why the in club price went down $5 now I see why. I'm returning this food and writing the manufacturer.

We have recently switched our rottie to no grain as he was having skin issues and ear infections quite frequently on his previous food as well as weight gain regardless of activity. He was constantly scratching and licking himself raw, as well as being in discomfort due to re-occurring ear infections. Since we switched him, he hasn't had any ear issues or skin irritations. He is also much more lean, which is key for any breeds prone to hip dysplasia. His coat is also insanely shiny and his teeth look healthier as well. For as much food as we go through, it is so nice that we can give him grain free without breaking the bank every few weeks. I highly recommend!

I have been buying this for years for my Pugs. All of sudden they on and off have diarrhea. Did blood work etc vets. Nothing. So it has to be the dog food. They must have changed the ingredients something. The food color Looks different. There are different colors pieces in the new bags never saw in old bags. Sad they dont disclose they changed ingredients or added something different so owners whom have dogs with sensitive stomachs can know

I am so happy you have this product! I have 3 dogs, one of which is highly allergic to grains. We feed all three dogs grain free food, so as not to take a chance on the one getting a piece that is not grain free. We have tried ALL of the expensive brands at sometimes $85 for a smaller bag. My little pom's hair is now full and beautiful. Also she hardly ever scratches anymore and her skin has cleared up. Please do not let the people who are whining bout there being less for the same price, ruin it for the rest of us.

When my Lab got to about 7 she began have ear and skin problems. Vet tried a few things, nothing worked. Changed vets and the first thing she said was switch to grain free food. Everything cleared up. This is much more reasonably priced than other brands.

I purchased these for a good couple of years when it used to be $27 a bag. My last bag I noticed the recipe changed because the kibbles looked and smelled differently. I really noticed the recipe had changed because one of my dogs is super sensitive to chicken (and other things) and immediately had diarrhea. Sure enough I checked the bag and it has chicken in it. Both dog's poop smelled so bad and my other dog without sensitivities had mushy poop. Unfortunately I had to find something else and came across Victor's. Now if you want your dog's poop to smell less (close to scentless) try Victor's salmon, it's awesome and for me worth not buying cheap dog food.

Our husky sheppard mix was losing patches of hair daily! The patches would turn dry and red, which looked awful, plus had to be painful! After testing, oral meds, ointments, creams, etc, I came across an article about Husky's requiring more Zinc in their diet. Salmon is high in zinc, so I figured it was worth a try. No kidding, 1 week on this food, her patches looked less red, by 1 month, the hair had started to grow back! She's been on this food a year now (and grain free treats as well), her coat it bright, shiny and best of all no more dry, red, irritated patches! The only draw back is the odor of the food, very fishy. However, a healthy dog out ways the smell!

This is a great dog food for dogs that are sensitive to grains and other meats. The only thing I was concerned about (which was not on the previous ingredient list), is the added 'animal fat'. What kind of animal fat? Many dogs are highly allergic to Chicken and Chicken by-products, which would lead them to want to purchase Wild-Caught Salmon instead. My super allergic dog did pretty well on this food (compared to others) for quite a while... up until recently. But, she's a problem child, so she cannot be compared to other's. Eventually I had to put her a R/X Diet. But overall, I think this is a quality dog food, with quality ingredients. Be careful to check the bag for an open spots before buying, as the bag tends to easily get holes in it and the food can go stale easily.
