This is some wonderful coffee and at a great price at Sams. I grind fresh each morning and use pour over method. So delicious. Nice and dark with a bold taste. I highly recommend but just leave me a bag.

I bought this thinking Sam's brand would be okay. Wasn't expecting much, but it wasn't even "okay". It is just awful. It has very little flavor, somewhat reminiscent of Folgers, but not much.

Great coffee, always bought in quantity as our Sams frequently ran out…in fact it was so popular they took it off the store shelf and put it out there for online order only, to promote their Plus membership…sad

I purchased Members Mark French Roast and was hooked. I still mourn not being able to purchase it at the Sam's Club store whenever I want! I'd love Members Mark Italian Roast!

Surprise!!!!! A great deal that is a fantastic coffee! If you like an earthy bold coffee this is my absolute favorite. Brew it STRONG and on the bold setting. Beats that expensive brew from Seattle. -Life time excessive coffee drinker-

This is my new favorite coffee. It's smooth, bold with no bitterness to it, and it is even better when used for cold brew. Cold brewing this brings out a very chocolate flavor that isn't present when it's brewed hot. It's a fantastic value.

I typically use Starbucks or several local coffee roasters' French Roast, Verona, or Italian Roast, and other equally dark coffees. We bought this because we are on a budget this summer, so we are trying to stretch our coffee dollars. We ground this to a course grind and used in our French press, so the experience may have been different with a medium grind and a drip coffee maker (which we don't have). On first taste, this coffee is not too bad, and I would describe the flavor as fruit and chocolate. It has a bit of sweetness to it, which is different than my favorite French roasts, but it is an acceptable flavor. Our main problem with the coffee is that the flavor isn't deep and robust, nor does it linger, which is our favorite thing about good coffees, so, to me and my husband, the flavor is fairly flat and short-lived. This may be due to the less oily nature of this coffee compared to my favorite coffees. I know some people prefer non-oily coffees because the oily coffee may be difficult to grind, and some even believe roasting until the oil is released ruins the coffee, so this coffee may be acceptable for them. However, we like dark oily coffees that linger, and if you also like oily dark coffees, then you may not like this one too much. We may mix this half and half with our favorite coffees to stretch things, but we probably will keep looking for another budget coffee that is more acceptable (perhaps Cafe Budtello whole bean...our next try).

This coffee is absolutely excellent if you like a dark, robust French Roast. Extremely smooth. And not acidic. I can drink this all day, as much as I want and not feel it. As soon as I switch to any of the major brands, I feel it in my stomach. Great flavor.

My wife and I enjoy freshly ground, full bodied coffee in the mornings and this is among the best we've bought over the years. It is smooth with no bitter after-taste and is definitely worth getting out of bed for. Sam's often changes up its brands but I hope they keep this one in stock for a good long time.

Very "respectable" flavor and aroma, if you like Starbucks French Roast, you'll surely enjoy this coffee. The beans are fresh and have that nice oily look to them...that right there says fresh! Daily Chef Coffee French Roast Fair Trade Certified, Whole Bean (40 oz.) is NOT exactly Starbucks, but it is every bit as enjoyable in it's own right, and I buy 1-2 bags every trip to Sam's! So glad we decided to give this one a try!
