Good, dark roast flavor. Works well in my super automatic coffee maker. I orginally tried the Starbucks Espresso whole bean from Sam's but it had too many broken beans and loose debris that kept jamming my machine. This Members Mark whole bean has none of that.

Found this on clearance at my local club and am so glad I tried it. I love deep, dark roasts and this fits that bill perfectly. It's great for pour-over or french press, IMO, and is a bargain. I had to reorder online (not in stores) and have it on auto-ship now. Great value, Thanks Sams for carrying this.

my favorite coffee. strong, tasty, cheap, and fair trade certified. for some reason I haven't been able to get it for the last month so that makes me sad.

I legitimately almost shed a tear when this was showing out of stock/discontinued last week. I've tried a ton of different beans and this makes by far the best cup of coffee I've ever had. Please stock it back in stores, I used to buy a bag a week..... Or at least just keep it in production and I'll stock up when I can. I absolutely love it, nothing comes close. It's dark and smoky but has a sweetness to it, almost a chocolatey aftertaste. I can drink it black all day long. Setting 5 of 12 on a quality grinder gives it an espresso quality on a drip machine and setting 8 is perfect in a french press, which is my preferred way to drink it when I have the time. Did I mention I LOVE this coffee?!

I really wish they could keep this is stock. I have gotten people to really like this coffee. When I was in New Hampshire my house many people stopped by for coffee. Got my doctor hooked on this coffee. Getting people in my new location to like this coffee also. I have heard people in store not happy not finding this coffee. Some I have chatted with. We agree it should be on shelves. I don’t have pictures on my phone, but I have about 20 bags on my shelves right now. Got my family hooked on this coffee also. Coffee my %231 drink now days. Keep this coffee BEAN in stock.

The coffee is absolutely wonderful. So why the 3 star review? The bag.... the bag is absolute garbage. The ziplock seal busted when opening the package for the first time. Unprepared for this, the coffee had to go into a clear ziplock bag. Not the best place to keep coffee beans.

I don't know what has happened to this coffee in the last year but the quality and flavor (read lack therof) is signigicantly worse. In the last year we made two online purcheses. The first was drinkable but decidedly worse than when we first tried this brand/flaver after 8 o'clock started to disappear from grocer shelves. Recently we ordered 6 bags and not one of them wpould make me reordrer. 8 O'clock Dark Italian Roast is back but only in 11.5 oz bags @ $4.53+ or $15.71 for the 3.47 bags = 40oz.. Do yourself a favor - SKIP THIS ONCE DECENT coffee#?)

The new packing does not allow a vacuum seal. The old aluminum packing often got a minor tear or puncture that would break the vacuum seal, but could at least start out vacuum sealed. The last time we ground coffee, the static charge on the beans sent ground coffee throughout our kitchen! It was a big mess to clean up & the beans weren't as fresh smelling. We are going to be buying our coffee from another source.

First off. Let me say, I am a dark roast kinda person. I love French toast, espresso, Italian, etc. I don’t like flavored coffees..I like good quality, strong coffee. This is none of the those. It’s not strong. It’s not flavorful. I have to add 4 heeling spoonfuls for 2 cups of water. Yuck!
