Any coffee review has to start with how the coffee was brewed to be of any value to others. I immersion brew my coffee with a 2 minute steep before passing it through a cone filter. This is a very refined dark roast coffee. It has no rough edges, for lack of a better description, that are a staple with most dark roasts. I detected caramel and chocolate notes with a pleasant aftertaste. No astringency in the aftertaste. I keep three different coffees in stock a medium roast, a medium dark roast, and a dark roast. This coffee will permanently fill the dark roast opening I've had for a couple of years now.

This coffee is surprisingly good. Especially fresh found and brewed in my Bialetti Mocha Pot!

I am a dark roast lover and I have tried many French roast coffees. Strangely enough Sam’s is my favorite and obviously the price is right!!

Not impressed. Have it an honest try but threw out 3/4 of the bag. Lacked flavor, didn’t even smell like a good roast.

Really good dark roast coffee. I would like to have it in a “ground” option, not only the whole bean variety

We've used this coffee for years and love it. Dont know who came up with the new bag colors and design...looks silly but the coffee is excellent.
