I bake and sell granola for resale. I have purchased MANY pounds of pecans over the years and have scoured the internet and local stores for the best value in gluten free pecans. I have ordered from many companies in bulk, but the best price is still my local Sams Club (unless you order by the pallet)! These taste good and fresh and are clean (no nut debris).

My sister wanted to purchase pecans for a recipe that called for 2 lbs. of nuts and proceeded to shop on her favorite website that sells nothing but NUTS. However, the price of the item had increased exponentially to her disappointment. As I use nuts during seasonal events often, we were able to purchase a 2 lb. pack from Sam's that were less than twice the cost from the other vendor.

I purchased these nuts to bake pecan pies. I was very disappointed because many of them are dark and dry. They are ok if they are going to be used in baked goods . However, if you need nuts for garnishing cakes or other deserts, these are not the ones to purchase.

Sam's has the best pecans. They're always big, fresh and full pieces. I toss mine in melted butter, add sea salt and bake at 375 for 5 minutes, give a toss and 5 more minutes. I store in an airtight container in the fridge. I keep a 1/4c measuring scoop to keep the calories/portion in check. Sam's price on them fits my budget. Perfect for salads, with cheese & salami, or to curb hunger.

I love nuts of all sorts. These a are very good but occasionally one is dry and not quite as "meaty." That may be the nature of the brute, because when items are machine shelled the machine doesn't "see" that this one is darker and doesn't look as good.

These pecans are quite tasty, except there is so much pecan dust, it is necessary to pour the bag of pecans into a colander to shake the dust off the nuts. Also, there are usually over a dozen rancid nuts per bag. The suggestion on the back of the bag says, “Refrigerate or freeze for optimum freshness,” which I don’t do because they don’t last very long. My bag of pecans has a best if used by 12/1/21 date. There is less than one cup of nuts remaining from their 5/27/21 purchase date. The date of this review is 6/11/21, which means that there should be at least 5 1/2 months before the best if used by date is reached.

I was glad to see the lower price on the pecan halves. However, the pecans are not the best. I have found some bad ones. I made some praline candy with them and some don't taste very good in the candy even though they looked okay to put in the candy.

This bag was part of a pickup order. So I didn’t get to inspect it before I got home an hour away from the store. Really disappointed with this bag of pecans. The pecans were really dark and I had to pick thru them to find some to cook with. I tried to bake using them in a couple of recipes and there were so many pecans that had a rotten taste that I had to throw the food away. I wasted money on this bag.

I have purchased tagged walnuts and pecans and cashews from your store many times and never had a problem but half of the bag was stale. The date was good but it seems like every third or fourth pecan that I ate was soft. Not sure what went wrong with this bag

Great value when fresh. I bought these a couple months prior and they were amazing. I don’t know how high the turn over is but the sending purchase a few months later we’re not a s fresh and crisp. Wondering if the second bag was from the same batch.
