Bought this a couple weeks ago and have many times before but this is different! When I open the plastic and took one canned off of another one, there was black stuff on a few of the cans. and it stunk so horrible like manure and feces! My husband and I were so sick to her stomach’s had to throw it out immediately and go shower. Still can’t get the smell out of our noses. on a few of the cans. I did a long chat with Sams Club and she was going to replace it for me and asked me to take pictures I did they would not attach even though I kept telling them to even though it was the correct format JPG. She said just hang up with me. I’ll email you and you can send the photos back in the email and you will see that we are sending you a new order while I never even got an email. I am not starting this again. I was a chat with her for 45 minutes. I’m not happy.

I buy this product consistently. I’ve never had a surprise; it always looks the same, taste the same and has the same texture. Texture is why it’s 4stars, not 5. Not like grilled,baked or fried texture associated with chicken. When mashed it becomes stringy. But mixed with rice or anything…the texture doesn’t hurt that much. The six pack is economical for struggling earners and those like me, on social security.

Cans were all dented

I know everyone loves this product and I like it also, great for making fast chicken salad and the like but... I bought 16 cans (2 - 8 packs) of this and was amazed by the amount of water in the can., I know there needs to be sufficient water to preserve the chicken but this goes overboard. I rinsed and weighed 4 cans from each 8 pack and came up with an average chicken content weight of 7 ounces - out of an advertised 12.5 ounces. That means that the can contains 56% chicken, or to make it more startling - 44% water. Another way to look at it is: the 8 pack has a content weight of 100 ounces but contains on average 56 ounces. Is it worth it, you be the judge.

Cans were leaking

I started a nutrition plan and have to weigh my food and track. I have never had a can of this chicken weigh more than 8oz for the whole can (drained). I understand there is water to consider, but then shouldn't the serving size be different than 3oz for a serving and about 4 servings? That would imply that there is about 4 servings of chicken, or at least to me it does. The chicken is good and I love the convenience and price, but something isn't adding up for me. I'm happy for someone to prove me wrong about this and explain how it works.

Why should I review something we purchased and used a month ago. My purchases were on the second and now on the 29 you decide to send an email requesting me do a review. These are the same products I purchase every month so obviously I think they are very good. Your emails for reviews are sloppy though as most people won't even remember what they purchased let alone remember how or if they've used them yet.

4 out 6 cans have damage (the box was okay... so these cans were put in damaged by the Sam's packers!!). There was not any of the plastic in box the cans come wrapped and cans were all over inside the package. Appears damaged cans were intentionally put (thrown) into box by Sam's staff and looks as if random damaged cans from the floor??

Always a dent somewhere. For precooked was a go to but with the price going from $11.98 to $13.48 in less then a month will likey look at fresh chicken from a different retailer. The product itself has always just been ok nothing special having a odd taste straight from the can. I have always had to drain & cook it till the canned liquid cooks off to get a decent chicken taste on top of ample usage of black pepper.

This is by far the worst can chicken I've tasted. It had a slight iff smell. When I tasted it, it tasted exactly how rubber gloves smell. I did try to doctor it up with spices and condiments but it had a strange after taste. I had figured it was just a cheap option and with all the good reviews, I was being too picky. No I couldn't handle it. Asked my household to give it a try and smell. They too said it tasted off. We opened another can and it was exactly the same but this time we could smell the off scent stronger. It smells just like it tasted... medical rubber gloves with that powder inside of them. Nasty! What a waste of money.
