Item has more than doubled in price

Came here to say what many others said about this item. I used to buy this item all the time. I used to pay about $9-11 for it. Now the item costs $18-19 which is nearly double or more the price it used to cost. I will not buy this item until the price comes back down to reasonable levels because now its just too expensive to justify the cost, I'd rather live without it.

Misleading

I know everyone loves this product and I like it also, great for making fast chicken salad and the like but... I bought 16 cans (2 - 8 packs) of this and was amazed by the amount of water in the can., I know there needs to be sufficient water to preserve the chicken but this goes overboard. I rinsed and weighed 4 cans from each 8 pack and came up with an average chicken content weight of 7 ounces - out of an advertised 12.5 ounces. That means that the can contains 56% chicken, or to make it more startling - 44% water. Another way to look at it is: the 8 pack has a content weight of 100 ounces but contains on average 56 ounces. Is it worth it, you be the judge.

Disappointed with the amount of chicken in the can

First, the chicken tastes great. My issue is with the packaging and labelling. The label on the front of the can says net weight 12 1/2 ounces. The label on the back says 4 3-ounce servings per can. I weighed a can on my trusty kitchen scale before it was open, and it weight in at 15 1/8 ounces. I opened up the can, drained off the water, and put it back on my kitchen scale, and the weight was 9 7/8 ounces. I removed the chicken from the can and weighed the chicken. It weighed in at 7 3/8 ounces. I then weighed the can; 2 1/2 ounces. With a 3-ounce serving being the serving size, per the label, these cans of chicken contain just shy of 2 1/2 servings.

Horrible Change in Quality

I have been purchasing the Members Mark canned chicken for years. The quality has gone completely down hill recently with the rebranded cans. Previously, the cans were full of chunk white-meat chicken packed in a small amount of water. When I opened the new cans, they looked like a puck of cat food swimming in murky water. It is extremely unappetizing. There were no chunks of chicken in the new cans, and the meat actually looked pre-chewed. This rebrand is an epic fail. At the very least, Sam's needs to take 'premium' and 'chunk' off of the label.

Love the chicken, not sure about the servings

I started a nutrition plan and have to weigh my food and track. I have never had a can of this chicken weigh more than 8oz for the whole can (drained). I understand there is water to consider, but then shouldn't the serving size be different than 3oz for a serving and about 4 servings? That would imply that there is about 4 servings of chicken, or at least to me it does. The chicken is good and I love the convenience and price, but something isn't adding up for me. I'm happy for someone to prove me wrong about this and explain how it works.

Inflation doesn't justify the price increases

Inflation has increased 7.5% year over year. These were selling for $9.99 until the fall of 2021 when the price increased on $11.98. Then on 2/14/22 the price was increased 33% to $15.98. There is no excuse for this and no market explanation for such a dramatic increase in this product.

Don't order this to be shipped

I ordered 10 packs of these. They were shipped in an oversized box without being secured. 24 cans were badly dented, and several were out of the plastic overwrap. I was sent 4 replacement packs, which were packaged the same way and badly dented, one the seal was damaged. I sent messages to customer service and never got a response. These cans are VERY thin, and the people who pack them obviously have no pride in their jobs.
