Tastes like tuna

Smells and tastes a lot like canned tuna. Even though it comes in chunks, the chunks flake like tuna. The only thing I will use this for is tuna, er, I mean, chicken salad. It's a good thing my family likes tuna salad. Still, it was disappointing. I was hoping for chicken that tastes like chicken.

Good chicken, nutrition label is misleading

we use these all the time, starting to track nutrition labels and these are off. Can size 12.5 oz Serving size 3 oz Servings per can: approx 4 but, when you drain off the water in the can, the actual amount of meat is around 7oz. According to another part of the label, each 2.99oz serving is 2.00 oz of meat. That still does not add up with only 7oz of meat in the can. Either the last several cans were short on meat or the labels are incorrect. Not sure who would use the water in the can, no one I know does. Would like to see REAL serving suggestions on the nutrition label. StarKist Tuna reports nutrition on the drained can as an example

Sloppy and Slow Review Ratings

Why should I review something we purchased and used a month ago. My purchases were on the second and now on the 29 you decide to send an email requesting me do a review. These are the same products I purchase every month so obviously I think they are very good. Your emails for reviews are sloppy though as most people won't even remember what they purchased let alone remember how or if they've used them yet.

EAT MOR CHIKIN

Hey there, humanz! It’s us, the Chick-fil-A Cowz, here to spill the hay on Member's Mark Premium Chunk Chicken Breast! Now, we ain’t no fan of eatin’ our feathered cousins, but we gotta hoof it to ya—this stuff’s udderly moovelous for you meat-lovin’ folks! First off, it comes in a can, all nice and packed like a herd in a barn—12.5 ounces of juicy, tender chicken chunks. Pop that lid, and whoa, Nelly! It’s like a stampede of flavor waitin’ to happen. No funky stuff, just pure, white-meat chicken swimmin’ in a little water—simple, clean, like a fresh graze in the pasture. We sniffed it (with our cow noses, mind ya), and it’s got that homey, cooked-chicken vibe—none of that weird canned smell that makes ya wanna bolt. The texture? Oh, it’s chunky and meaty, not mushy like some sad silo slop. Perfect for tossin’ in salads, sandwiches, or mixin’ with some sauce for a quick human chow-down. And get this—it’s premium, so it ain’t no scrawny barnyard reject. These chunks are big and bold, like a prize steer at the fair. Plus, it’s got protein to keep ya moovin’—26 grams per can! That’s enough to make even us cows jealous (but don’t tell the chickens we said that). Only beef we got? It’s a tad plain on its own—needs some of that human spice magic to really kick it up a notch. But for the price and convenience, it’s a total barn-burner! Member's Mark Premium Chunk Chicken Breast gets four hooves up from us. So go ahead, EAT MOR CHIKIN—just not ours, okay? Mooove over to this can instead!

Dented cans

Reason for one star is couple of the cans were dented so bad I had to toss them. This is not a returnable item. If fact most can goods I am receiving lately are dented. I have no local Sams Club nearby time to cancel membership and shop elsewhere. Don’t get me wrong here it was FedEx who damaged these cans they were damaged prior to packing them. FedEx boxes showed no wear or damage.

Bad packing

The canned chicken is delicious but whoever packed it in the box to be shipped didn't do a good job. I ordered 8 packs containing 6 cans in each pack so that's 48 cans total. Not sure of the weight but whoever packed it in the box expected the air filled plastic things to keep the product from moving around inside of the box. Most of the air filled things were popped and that allowed the cans to slash about inside of the box and caused 3 cans to leak and get chicken broth all over the other cans.(making it hard to tell which dented can is leaking) I had about 12 cans dented up pretty good so now I don't trust the vacuum seal on them. I gave the 3 leaking cans to my dogs so they didn't go to waste. Whoever packed these should use cardboard etc as dunnage to prevent the cans from rattling around inside the box ( and denting/busting open the pull tabs) during transport. Air bag things are for lighter products. If I ever order this product again it will be a few at a time .... Sam's club is known for bulk but.......?

Salty.

Warning. This is very salty. If you use this for cooking including the liquid, don't add any more salt to the dish. This has plenty. The can specifies there are about 25 servings total for the six cans. The cans are measured by weight and the weight with liquid is a little over 12 ounces per can. Making it about four servings per can. I drain the liquid and save it for when I make stock, for me it's too salty to add the liquid. A serving of chicken is four to six ounces. Once the liquid is out of the can there is really about two servings. At best 3 servings in each can. For the total of six cans that would be 12-18 servings. Not 25 as advertised.....unless you count the liquid.

Love the product, don't like the dented cans

I throw out at least 2 cans every time we buy this because the cans are so dented. We like the product but because of the deep dents in the cans we are unable to eat it. We generally will eat products if the cans are dented a little bit, but we've read that if a can is dented enough to put your finger in the dent...don't eat it. There's another big box store that ships and we don't have this issue, so we'll probably buy from them.
