As soon as I started mixing it, I thought something was odd. Realized it was because it smells just like cheap cake batter. I'm planning to return it - and will not be buying this again (which is a shame because we've been going through a lot of pancake mix from Sam's over the years).

This might be my new favorite thing to buy from Sam’s Club. I have 3 picky kids and this makes so many budget friendly meals for our family of 5. The pancakes always turn out delicious. Tonight I added blueberries and they tasted like they were from a restaurant. Delicious.

My kids are absolutely pancakes lover! We tried this last week bec. I can't find daily chef in the store anymore. My kids said the pancakes tasted horrible! I ended up returning it and the get a refund. The lady at the customer service tolds us many people expressed their dissatisfaction about the product!

I too was purchasing the “K” brand and when Sam’s stopped carrying it in their clubs I either purchased from another store or just bought another brand. But I was in need of more and while at my local club figured I give this mix a try. Well it’s actually pretty good, can’t say it’s any better than other brands I’ve used, but it certainly isn’t worse. I doctor up the other mixes (cinnamon/vanilla) anyway for more flavor and use seltzer water to make them more fluffy. I didn’t add anything else just used seltzer the first time I made these so I could get how they tasted on their own and like I said they are pretty good. Can’t say why there are negative reviews?

So I've only used this mix for waffles, but I've made a lot of waffles for a lot of different people and only gotten rave reviews. Perhaps there's a difference between the pancake recipe and the waffle recipe, but I can vouch for the waffles. I will keep buying this mix.

Our favorite pre-made pancake mix is Krusteaz (which our Sam's, sadly, no longer carries). We settled for the Daily Chef pancake mix. It's pretty average. My boys liked it well enough so we stuck with it. Now the local Sam's has replaced the Daily Chef mix with a Maker's Mark version. This Member's Mark stuff is terrible. It seriously smells and tastes like bad cupcake batter. Please go back to the drawing board on your efforts to replace Krusteaz pancake mix with a store label version.

We would always buy the daily chef brand buttermilk pancakes mix which was delicious. Then Sam's switched to the members mark's brand with the deceptive note "same great taste." Unfortunately the members mark kind is terrible. It is super sweet and tastes nothing like the daily chef.

This has to be the worst pancake mix ever! I own a restaurant and I was totally embarrassed when I served this product to my customers! It's obvious that the buyer for Sam's never tasted this product, and was only interested in a cheap product cost! Everybody knows quality always comes first!

I grew up making pancakes from a "biscuit mix" I liked them, still do frankly. MM Pancake Mix is really good, sweeter than I'm used to, but it is so easy to make. My only real issue is that I sometimes forget that, "just add water," means it has powdered milk in the mix. As someone lactose intolerant this is a problem. I have to remember to take a lactase pill or else I'm going to be having stomach issues. If they used A2 milk powder, it would be easier on a lot of people. Anyway, I just bought a new bag. poured half in a cannister and discovered when I close it, it now has a loop and hook closure now! Thank goodness. Zipper closure can be so finicky. This closed easily the first time. Yay! great improvement to a really tasty product.

I use pancake mix for both waffles and pancakes. The first half of the bag was good. Halfway through the bag the mix changed consistency and was basically just flour. Waffles stopped browning and holding together, pancakes didn't seem to rise and stopped being fluffy. I honestly think it is not mixed thoroughly enough before being bagged since some people seem to only get sugar and others (like me) get only flour.
