Great dupe for brands

We love this mix. Pancakes over 3/4 in. high! You can't get any easier than mix powder and water ( I use milk). cook. If you like pancakes you'll love this mix!

I’ve never been so in love with a product that I reviewed it on Sam’s Club before. But this pancake mix is the most delicious one I’ve ever tried. Better than any name brand. Makes amazing waffles too! Perfect texture and light vanilla flavor. 10/10

So, pancake mix should smell like batter... I don't know what "bad cupcake batter," smells like but I presume people think this smells sweet, and it doesn't. It doesn't smell bad and it doesn't smell like vanilla, cupcakes, cake mix, cake batter, etc... I know what cake smells like, I've been baking for 25 years. It smells like pancake batter, and all pancake batters vary in smell slightly because they all add different additives. That's all there is to it. This pancake mix works pretty well and my family likes it. The only thing I've noticed is you really have to thin the batter out to get a less fluffy pancake because the consistency I might use with other brands makes for a SUPER fluffy pancake. Other than that, these pancakes are flavorful and griddle up great! It's a pancake, it's not supposed to taste like a filet mignon and a pancake can be amped up with toppings and syrups if you don't like the plain pancake. This is a great buy, especially if you make a lot of pancakes quite often. I do not mind the name change one bit and we still enjoy this mix all the same.

Delicious, and guests have loved it too!! I have even sent some home with theiown bag of mix! Affordable and fun for the kids. So many possibilities and they all smell like heaven- regular pancakes, mixed thin like a crepe, or fill a Ziploc and snip the corner and squeeze into frying oil. Dust with powdered sugar, and you'll have the best summer funnel cake to remind you of the amusement park!

It smells like cake batter but, tastes like flour. This is the worst of all the pancake mixes we have ever tried. Wish they would go back to stocking the daily chef mix, it was the best. Made them every morning for my kids. We will not be buying this again.

Our favorite pre-made pancake mix is Krusteaz (which our Sam's, sadly, no longer carries). We settled for the Daily Chef pancake mix. It's pretty average. My boys liked it well enough so we stuck with it. Now the local Sam's has replaced the Daily Chef mix with a Maker's Mark version. This Member's Mark stuff is terrible. It seriously smells and tastes like bad cupcake batter. Please go back to the drawing board on your efforts to replace Krusteaz pancake mix with a store label version.

Not sure why all the bad reviews. This is my families favorite pancake mix. Batter does smell sweet but these are pancakes so I'm unsure why this is a bad thing. Pancakes are thick yet fluffy and cook up very well. I do thin the batter out more than directed. good price and good pancakes imo

So I've only used this mix for waffles, but I've made a lot of waffles for a lot of different people and only gotten rave reviews. Perhaps there's a difference between the pancake recipe and the waffle recipe, but I can vouch for the waffles. I will keep buying this mix.

I too was purchasing the “K” brand and when Sam’s stopped carrying it in their clubs I either purchased from another store or just bought another brand. But I was in need of more and while at my local club figured I give this mix a try. Well it’s actually pretty good, can’t say it’s any better than other brands I’ve used, but it certainly isn’t worse. I doctor up the other mixes (cinnamon/vanilla) anyway for more flavor and use seltzer water to make them more fluffy. I didn’t add anything else just used seltzer the first time I made these so I could get how they tasted on their own and like I said they are pretty good. Can’t say why there are negative reviews?
