I've never tried garlic in a jar however I decided to buy this I have to say that it's very good you have to use a little more than if you had a fresh piece of garlic but I really like it it's to go to if you need it quick

This is a great short cut when you don't want to chop fresh Garlic. They only diwnside is there is now more liguid in it then Garlic so you have to use a spoon and drain it first.

all the people posting 5 star reviews must have never tasted fresh garlic. this stuff smells like garlic in the jar, but not in the pan or in food. i used 3 times the amount i normally use with fresh garlic and still there was no taste or smell. cooking fresh garlic in a little olive oil leaves the whole house smelling like garlic, this stuff has no smell at all plus it's from China. stick with fresh garlic !!!

I've bought this several times when I found out a French chef takes this shortcut sometimes. It used to be good, but I started noticing a sour taste. I thought it was because I had it too long. I bought a new one that doesn't expire for a year or so. It tasted sour too. I was hesitant to buy it when I saw that the garlic looked darker in color. Maybe they are using rotten bulbs now. I enjoyed the convenience while I was getting a good product, but since they don't care about the customer anymore, I will go back to buying fresh.

We use minced garlic in many different recipes; so, this was an excellent buy. The packaging is restaurant-size (24 oz. in each container); so, we transferred part of it to a smaller jar, saved the remainder, and gave the second container to son's family for their lively kitchen. This is a really good deal if you use a lot of garlic!

I cook every day and since I LOVE garlic but hate the scent on my skin, I've been buying it in this form for MANY years! On the rare occasion that this has been sold out at Sam's, I've been forced to look for it elsewhere but the MINUTE it's back in stock, I have one in my cart!

I love the product because I've had it before. When the product arrived there was liquid in the box the red lid was not cracked and still intact but yet when I squeezed both of them air escape. I live 40 minutes 1 way to Sam's so I have to make a special trip to them to return and get my money back.
