3 summers and shot

Bought the grill 3 summers again and has always been covered after use. 4 out of the 5 burners are rusted out. I looked at buy parts and fixing it up but the parts come to more than a new grill would cost. If I could rate it lower, I would. Moving on to another brand.

I love this grill

I love this grill. I actually have two as one is at our summer home. I've been using the first of these grills for over 2 years. My previous grill was a Char-broil Commercial Series from 2003. Just before the bottom of that grill rusted out I had purchased replacement grill grates for that Char-broil grill. So when it came time to replace that grill I was trying to find a grill that had the same size grate area so I could continue to use the new grates. This Members Mark 5-burner grill was perfect. I don't use the grates that came with the MM grill as I still use the Char-broil replacement grates, and I love them. So... if you love this Members Mark 5-burner grill as I do, but are not happy with the grill grates- which seems to be the major issue in these reviews; then here is a link to order the replacement grill grates that I use... https://www.allpartsgrills.com/ecommerce/66662.html They're not an absolute perfect fit, but pretty darn close. You might lose a couple square inches in the total width of the cooking surface. It's going to add another $86+ shipping to the price, but even at that this grill still compares to grills costing still much more than that.

Burners have rusted out in less than a year

On the surface, this is a very nice looking heavy duty grill. That is, until you get to the parts that matter. The burners have already rusted through on this grill in less than a year and I can't use half of it because the flames shoot up so high, that it burns food to a crisp. I'm usually satisified with Member's Mark brands, but this one is garbage.

Almost impossible to assemble

I bought this to replace my 1995 kenmore aluminum grill after I just got tired of the same old look & it was time to replace the burners again. My order arrived in a pristine box with no external damage, but the internal square frame pieces were squashed, twisted and bent. I spent a full 2 hours just assembling the 2-piece frame to the 2 side panels because the panels demanded a square fit. The casters are complete junk, and none of them function like any other locking caster I have ever encountered. Normal casters require stepping on them to lock, then pulling upwards to unlock. These dont work that way, they dont lock ever and if you step fully onto them they break. So I have 2 casters with broken locking mechanisms. And being really tiny casters supporting a really heavy unit, moving this thing around is dangerous. I felt relieved to get it moved to the desired location without a caster wheel breaking apart. After assembly I decided to season the grill and see what kind of temperatures & even heating I can expect. In doing so, the burner valves were revealed to be extremely clumsy - instead of turn right to fully open and left to fully close (or reverse theme), the full open position is middle position, with low turned full left and off turned full right. This is when I started having serious buyers regret. As the grill heated up, I took to 550f before shutting down. The next day I opened it up and noticed the grill plates, in multiple spots, already have flaked off the ceramic coatings. What!!?? This thing hasn't touched food yet, and merely turning it on resulted in degradation of the grill plates. wow. Now...I bought this because I just didnt want the pocket pain of buying a weber. And at this price, I can buy some grillgrates for a couple hundred bucks and throw away these cheap grates, and still have spent less than half vs weber. As long as the burners perform, it seems like a decent unit. Large cooking space and the lid is double insulated.

Good Grill. Low Quality materials!

I bought this is May. Pictures show rust starting all over different parts of grill. The actual Porcelain grates are already showing some rust spots. I cover this grill with waterproof cover between every use. I can't imagine what would happen with no cover. I love the grill, size, ability to cook multiple items. Top rack poorly designed. Small items can fall through back of rack.

Junk DO NOT BUY

This grill will make me question every Members Mark product moving forward. The grill has never cooked right with significant differences in temperature from the front and back. The grill also has a significant design flaw where it burns a hole in the side of the grill due to the way the propane is pushed down the burner tubs. As the fire hits the back of the grill it tees off. On the two end burners it causes this tee to also burn a hole in the side of the grill. In the below photo you can see the fire hitting the side of the grill. On the other side of my grill it burned a hole through the steel. I have had the grill for a few years now and noticed the the above issues about a year after i purchased it.

Good Grill except the burners don't last.

I bought this about a year and a half ago and cover when not being used, but the burners are cracked and falling apart. It is a great grill and a good price until you have to replace 5 burners. No the value it started out as. I don't understand how stainless steel burners do that so fast.

Cover coating peeling off out of the box

Bought it on 25/8 at Sam's, and installed it over the labor day weekend. The last part of the installation is the top burner that came as one piece with the cover attached. The paint near the handle was peeling off already as soon as I removed the plastic cover (trying to attach a picture to this review without luck) - looks ugly. Very disappointed, and wondering how long the rest of the paint/coating will last - can't think about the grill itself - waste of money and energy.

Yep me too! Burners are done!

Bought mine about a year and a half ago. Burners have huge holes in thems spitting out huge balls of flames. So being frustrated I read these reviews and the response... In each response from the manufacturer they recommend emailing them directly. So I did that. Emailed them before writing my bad review... Guess what no response

Bought this grill a little over a year ago. Has great heavy duty grates and cooked well until about 2 months ago. Notices all of the flame and heat was near the crossovers in the back. Took it apart last night to find all of the burners are cracking wide open, splitting and pretty much trashed. This model is made by "Rankam Group" out of Hong Kong and replacement parts are impossible to find (I mean impossible!). I had a MM grill for years prior to this and was able to readily find replacement parts as needed and used it till the body rusted out. Be wary of the burners and I recommend shopping for a different brand until Sam's starts using manufacturers that offer affordable, available replacement parts. Had the same experience with this grill , the burners will not hold up. got some burners on line and had to jerry rig to make work . Why have 17.5 inch burners in a grill that nobody has for replacements for?
