Great grill before the burners die

This is the second grill I have had. The first one lasted about 18 months before the burners gave out. Note it is kept covered and under a covered deck. Took it back and got a refund and got another one. Today I took that one back because of the same issues but this time it was just short of a year. Got a store credit and bought a kettle grill, I just hope it lasts longer than a year. The manufacturer of the grill is useless and provides no assistance after 90 days other than offering new burners and rear fuel rail at roughly the cost of a new grill. If you have had the grill less than 2 years I recommend using the members mark guarentee and dont feel bad taking a used grill back because it should last more than a year or 2 for 300 bucks.

Well designed, easily put together

I purchased this grill 2 days ago. In the box, it weighs 165 pounds, so having a friend helps. Once I began to build the grill, I found well designed parts that fit perfectly. Took me about 2 and 1/2 hours with no problems. This is the most solid, well designed grill in this price range I have owned. I don't know how it will hold up in Florida, but so far it is a winner!

Great grill, great value!

I searched and researched grills for months. I was skeptical of buying in my opinion on "off" brand but based on all of the reviews I went ahead and bought it. I've owned this grill for about 9 months and absolutely love it! It's perfect for us and our lanai. I highly recommend it.

Burners Rusted after 13 months

Loved this grill when we bought it, the heavy duty construction and the cooking surface was exactly what we were looking for. As a family of 6 we found the large cooking surface perfect for our needs. After 13 Months the grill is useless, the burners are rusted to the point of near destruction; especially the right side. I can't control the temperature and now the cooking surface is damaged due to over heating. I can't find parts to replace the burners or the grilling surface and will most likely have to buy a new grill.. even tho this one is still in brand new condition. VERY Disappointed and I must say I have never had a bad experience with a SAMS (members mark) branded product until this.

poor quality

We only had this grill for less than 2 years & it has totally rusted out. It is totally unusable! Worse quality than cheaper grills we’ve had in the past that at least lasted several years. We always clean our grates & cover it, so there is absolutely no reason for this.

I'm a picky customer and I'm very impressed...

Like the title says I'm a very picky customer, To the point I passed up on the already assembled unit so I was sure it was put together correctly and all parts were correct.. Now some reviews have stated installation was hard and the fitment of parts was off... I can't say I had that problem.. In fact install took me less than 1.5hrs and I was cleaning the stainless as I went along.. It went together like a Swiss watch. All parts lined up and the instructions were easy to understand. I have owned the older unit that looked just like this but maybe 3-4yrs older. Members Mark Grills in my opinion give those famous other Grills something to worry about. This grill is very nice and for the money you can replace it in 4 yrs and not cry when it's time to trade up for a newer model. I only wish they kept the rear inferred bar on the back like the older model had but the improvements make up for that.. Honestly if set next to a $600+ grill you couldn't tell the difference. Well done Sam's Club on a nice grill!

Looks are deceiving

I bought this grill Sept 2016 for $300. From all appearances, the grill functioned as it should, but as it turns out, this grill was not "built to last". Starting the following year I noted there inconsistent heating areas on the grill top. By the following summer (2018) it was very difficult to manage. Mind you, I am a guy that keeps his grill clean....I foil the flame guards and the drip pan to protect the grill all I can and it helps in clean up. Come Summer 2019, the grill burners have really broken down. To think I needed to replace the burners was frustrating considering the age of the grill. I finally got out the manual and decided to replace the burners and "carry over" pieces in between - better then purchasing a new grill. All 5 burners and 4 carry overs in between the burners needed to be replaced. I call the numbers provided me for these parts and they quoted me $200 to replace the burners and $65 to replace the carryovers (and those are discounted prices). Like I am going to do that? Also, look up this grill now and you can purchase it for $200 today. I checked with Sam's Club customer service and they told me that had I brought this matter up in Sept 2018, Sam's Club would have honored the warranty on the grill (2 years). So, I am left with accepting that this cost to me was $100 per year to own a grill at home the past 3 years...unless I replace it with the new one which then resets that cost to $166 per year until that grill gets to 2 years old and have to replace that one, etc....ridiculous. I am really put out by this outcome and it will discourage me from purchasing anything from Sam's Club except my gas, groceries and dry goods from now on.

Rusted within 5 weeks... WITH cover.

Appalled at how quickly this Father’s Day gift rusted. Within 4-5 weeks WITH a grill cover!! We feel so lucky to have noticed it right away so that we were able to return it as the warranty is only 90 days and who knows what Sam’s Club would have done for us. Thankfully, we have a handle folding trailer to take it back but what would people who don’t have that do? It’d be a huge hassle. Not to mention the time lost setting it up (2 hours). We live in Florida but not beachside and not near a body of water (lake) and we do not have a pool. Just sayin’..... For another $200 bucks we were so much happier to spend that and go get a Weber with a 10 year warranty. Really; the comparison is not even close. See photos for rust and pricing differences.

so far so good

It took me a couple of hours to assemble. The grill looks good and seems to be sturdy and well built. I started with a partial tank of propane. I plan to keep track of how many meals I will be able to cook on one tank. The first meal was a full blow breakfast for 3 using cast iron skillets, the side burner was great for cooking bacon and keeping all of the grease splatters out of the house.

do not buy

We loved this grill for the 2 years we owned it. It was covered and well taken care of. Fast forward to our 3rd summer using it and we’ve never regretted a purchase more. The outside looks amazing but the internal components are toast, rusted through and not operational. Parts cost more than the grill and Customer service is terrible. Unless you want to spend $300 in a couple more years, do not be temped to buy this.
