[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wrapping Christmas gifts is so much easier if you incorporate Scotch packing tape as part of your supplies. I use it exclusively for hard to adhere velvet bows and sticking embellishments to packages like buttons, holly, candy canes, etc. Simply use it like double sided tape and wow! does it work. I also use it to decorate my mailbox, front door, and other hard-to-reach areas. It definitely gets a 5-star rating!!

Sticks fast and I have never had a problem with postage labels ever coming off of my packages on route to its destination. Very dependable. I have tried others and this Scotch brand is the BEST. I won't switch to any other.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been trying to get rid of things in my attic so a lot of re-taping boxes and tubs of stuff I want to keep. This larger tape dispenser came in handy. I like that its much bigger than the packing tapes I usually buy and with this wider heavy duty tape I didn't have to tape twice like I usually do. My only wish is that the roll had more on it.

I have been shipping items for many years and after the fiasco I had today with an off brand , I will never ever use anything else but Scotch brand. I usually have a rolls on hand but fell low and sent the husband out to pick up a roll. It was the worst time I ever had sealing a package. I told him that he is only to buy Scotch brand, or better yet, I will never run out of it. Time to Stockpile...:)

This past Halloween, being in a time crunch, decided to use a much cheaper clear packing tape. Not surprisingly, it was nearly impossible to start the roll, and the dispenser itself was dull. We ended up using scissors to cut. Most importantly, it just would not stick! We used double the amount of tape just hoping it would work. Oh well, now we know! Scotch Rocks! Thanks for an AWESOME product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate. As someone who often ships cartons of items, I was amazed to discover this product. I have always bought Scotch Packaging Tape but never tried the "Heavy Duty." This product far surpasses other packaging tapes due to its strong super holding power. Because it was so effective, I used much less tape on the package which will save money in the long run and also makes me feel like the package is more secure.

This tape is great, my packages are totally secure and I am confident that they will not come apart anyplace I have used this tape. I have also used it around the house and find it works well for anything I might need to tape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best packing tape ever. You never have to worry that it's going to come off. And you don't need to do multiple passes over it to be sure. Just one strip across the the opening and it's done. The cutter makes it convenient too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product to evaluate for free from 3M. I actually have an older model that I use all the time and both models seem to be the same style so I can attest to its durability but there are things that can make it better. The cardboard piece that covers the blade can not easily be removed (see picture), sure the flap piece comes off but the part behind the blade does not slide out once the flap is off. This can interfere with getting a clean cut of the tape, I'll probably have to use scissors to carefully cut it out but it could be easily fixed by having the holes align with the part that is ripped off so that it slides out on its own without risk of injury. Additionally when the roll was still full, it would sometimes get stuck and not rotate easily, I couldn't actually find the sticking point and it doesn't happen on my older one when I put in a new roll or now that I have used several layers on the new one. The tape itself also doesn't unroll smoothly but instead sort of jerks out in segments. Finally the inner latch that you use to replace rolls could be designed better, it doesn't always stay closed. In fact on the older model, I just use a piece of tape to keep it closed but again the design could be improved to keep them shut. As to where I use this product, I send baked goods to deployed soldiers every week so use these packaging dispensers to seal the boxes and apply the mailing labels to the box. These boxes are tossed around a lot during their journey overseas so need to be taped securely. I have been sending these boxes for almost 5 years and have sent almost 350 boxes so the dispensers and tape do work but could be improved with my suggestions.
