I use it to adhere name tags to desks, put up art projects on old brick walls in the hallway, and even for mending books! This is the only tape that will keep my students' art projects hanging on the wall. I love the stuff and would never begin the school year without it! Thanks for a great product!

Even when I'm not moving...I'm using this for so many other things at home: crafts, school projects, quick fixes :) This stuff is the best in the universe !!!

I've had a problem in the past with cheap brands which are hard to peel from the roll, so I only use Scotch now. But now I have many rolls that are unusable because I cannot peel the edge of the tape from the roll after first use, or if I use a knife and manage to peel some off, it splits into tiny strips. Very frustrating! I came here looking for tips and found many other users with the same problem, and each time Scotch just responds to call them. I work at night, after hours.

The design of the dispenser needs a lot of improvement. After cutting a piece of tape from the whole, there is no where to put the part of the tape that is remaining. If I leave the tape under the tabs near the cutter, it is impossible to store the dispenser. Basically, the design is ineffective and inconvenient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 3M packing tape is the sturdiest tape I’ve ever used. It was easy to get started on the roll. It comes with its own cutter so you don’t have to use scissors. I highly recommend this tape for your toughest packaging needs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been on a budgeting plan ever since I lost my job in January 2010 and have tried several generic type tape to save money and realized after trying several off brand (off-brand meaning any brand besides Scotch) and came to see why it was cheaper. They are cheaper because they substitute quality in my opinion. I went back to purchasing Scotch brand tape for all off my taping needs including packing tape, labeling tape, wrapping tape and office tape and I am in relief! Scotch tape works wonders and has never been the tape used when a package busted open, a big bubble was left on my shipping label and never has Scotch tape tore and stuck to the tape roll while ripping in pieces trying to peel it back off the roll. After all of my trial and errors I came to realize one fact worth notating... While the economy is tough and though we are all cutting back there is just some things that have no substitute and that is Scotch brand tape. It works fabulously. Period. It has no substitute! I have been in the packing business most of my life, and this tape is the worst tape I have ever used. I pack a box and 10 minutes later ALL your tape has pulled away from the box. What over priced crud. Nothing like doing twice the work when you already have enough to do when packing a house. Don't waste your $ on this stuff!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape is a great product to use when I am sending packages to family members. I did not have to use a lot to tape up the box I was sending. It is a very heavy duty tape.

We are working on our home and thus we have to pack up many of our things. We have many heavy things we're having to pack in boxes so we needed a tape with some extra hold, enter Scotch heavy duty shipping tape. I don't think I will ever use anything else to hold my boxes together I love it so much.
