This has been my go-to coffee bean brand for years....and it really is the best. But Sam's increased the price from $20.98 to $24.98 overnight! I'm now boycotting these Starbucks espresso beans until the price comes down. Until then, I'm getting MM French and Columbian beans and mixing them. Not quite as perfect as the Starbucks beans, but more reasonable.

This was extremely disappointing. Bustello is perfection, this Espresso roast is NOT. I find it odd I add extra shots of espresso to my machiato, but this is awful. It has a slight bitter aftertaste. When the K-cups were released, we bought a case and threw them away. We always go back to Bustello Cafe Espresso for taste and aroma

Dear Starbucks or Sam’s Club, Main idea of buying whole bean is for freshness. Buying a big 40 oz bag makes no sense. Storage in air tight container is huge pain. So, could you please break it down into 4 bags (12 oz each) and price it at $29.76 (0.62 per oz) ? This will make more sense for coffee lovers like me and there are many like me who really care for fresh coffee beans and storage properly for freshness. Also, regular grocery stores selling Starbucks whole bean bag for $1.25 per oz. This will be huge win for Starbucks and Sam’s Club. Thank you.

I always buy dark roast coffee beans for my daily am Capuchino. It was on sale so I thought I would give it a try. Starbucks espresso roast is robust but tends to be a little bitter. I will go back to Sams French Roast which I love as it is strong and has a smoother flavor.
