not for me

As an espresso drinker and spending much time in Italy I find this to be a totally American roast. Bold and like drinking campfire smoke. a bit on the bitter side for me. espresso is not a roast but the method of extraction. Any roast can be used for espresso. all in what you like. If you like it than go for it. takes a lot of steamed milk to tame it down. too much on the French roast level for me. works well for a French press or pour over. cowboy coffee for sure.

Great Wake Me Up Expresso

Every mornig I wake up, ground my expresso beans, and make lattes for my husband and myself. These beans are so fresh that when you open the package, you get a rush just smelling the beans. Love, Love these dark roast expresso beans, and it's so much more convenient for me to order them and have them delivered to my door.

Clean, crisp, deep flavor!

I never thought I would be an espresso drinker. Unfortunately I always assumed espresso was a thick, syrupy drink. It definitely is not. Although a bold coffee it is a rich, clean taste. I gifted several pounds to coffee drinkers who had never drank espresso and it was a big hit.

Rich Espresso Flavor: Good for cappuccino, latte or cuppa

Nice crema, good flavor, no acidity (flavor) Would like these even better if they were priced a little closer to Keurig K-cups. As headline indicates, I use these pods in a variety of ways, depending on mood. I have a frother (not Starbuck's which doesn't seem to have gotten such great reviews)so cappuccino is one choice. But I usually brew 5-7 ounces and add a little half and half. Really quite good; for me, better than any K-cups I've tried.

Espresso

The capsules are great. Taste is excellent. I had a problem with some of the cups of coffee when about 3/4 through the brewing process a change in sound in the machine and grinds started coming in with the remaining water. Don't know if it was a capsule problem or a machine issue.

Great start to the morning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a massive coffee lover but am quite picky. This has all the right flavors with the perfect color and scent. It's strong enough to start my day but not so strong that I have the jitters. It's replaced my regular coffee as my new go to. #freesample

My favorite AM pick me up

I have been drinking this coffee pressed for years and I won't hardly drink anything else. So perfectly bold. But this over any other brand as well. The flavor is immensely superior in my opinion. I've tried so so so many. I'm like home when this is in my cup honestly.

Not As Strong As I Was Expecting

Espresso should be the strongest coffee; however, this one fell short. I thought that purchasing the beans and grinding them myself would produce a stronger cup of coffee than the powder. Not so. It's still not strong enough. I have to use 3x as many beans as one would for a normal cup to get close to the strong, bold, dark richness of espresso. Starbucks does indeed make the best coffee, but I was expecting more from this one. Starbucks: PLEASE make a true espresso coffee.

Bold and striking to wake you up

Personally this was a little too strong and a bit harsh in the flavor but if you like bold coffee this will give you the boost you need. I paired it with Carmel syrup and a splash of Heavy Cream to soften the intensity and create a sweet and creamy blend. Delicious with a Toffee Doodle Cookie

My New Coffee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Starbucks Expresso Roast is now my go to coffee. To begin, I’ve been looking for a coffee that’s strong and gives me a pick me up. This coffee does that. It has a nice taste and is enjoyable. It has a pleasant smell. Can be enjoyed with friends in the afternoon and/or after dinner. I would recommend the coffee to friends who are looking for a rich dark coffee. Thank you for the free sample.
