At last! Thank you! Thank you!

I have had a Keurig B-60 for years,. When I contacted Keurig one time by phone they said, "Oh, you've got one of the old ones!" Anyway, there has been only one failing on the part of the Keurig: no Starbucks K-cups. Being a big Starbucks fan, I've looked for the K-cup to equal Starbucks in flavor. I've tried almost every dark roast over the years. Oh, BTW, I've favored Starbucks Sumatra and Verona. So, suddenly, Starbucks offers K-Cups. The Sumatra is the best coffee I've had from my B-60, with the Verona coming in at #2. This leaves us with only one question: While buying directly from the Starbucks site is the cheapest way per cup, why are there no Verona K-cups available here?

It is okay

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think if you like dark roast, you would like this. The design of the bag is really neat. The smell of the coffee is fantastic. What fell short for me was after the coffee was brewed. To me, it tasted muddled. Not the same as it smells. I'd probably choose this over other offerings but I think it could have had a more robust flavor after being brewed.

A smooth cup of coffee!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a #freesample of Starbucks Sumatra Ground Coffee in exchange for my honest review. I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth this roast is; strong (but not bitter) with just the right amount of acidity. If you like a full-bodied dark roast, I recommend you give this one a try.

Poor treatment of a good coffee bean.

I lived in Sumatra for three years and have consumed more than 30 lbs of Sumatra coffee in the last three years in addition to Kenya... I use to have starbucks sumatra and kenya coffee - BUT never dark roast either K or S... When I ordered the coffee - I don't believe it identified it as a dark roast rather than medium roast (half roast as they call it in Cairo...Dark roast is terrible. I have already given it to some who like dark FREE... The Dark was shiped five days after order place and then took a week to arrive....TOTAL experience - Never Again I have alternative sources...ByeBye

Wildly Inconsistent Pods

I don't know if it's Starbucks or if this is a special blend for Sams but these pods are wildly inconsistent. I measure and use the same method every single time but yet the outcome is wildly inconsistent. Very frustrating for a so called premium brand.

Decaf Sumatra

I finally ran out of decaf Sumatra. After hearing it was discontinued I managed to find a few remaining bags at local stores. Now I am on a mission to find a replacement for a coffee that I had been exclusively drinking for the past 5 years. I have tried the Cafe Verona and Expresso decafs and, while they aren't terrible, the flavor is not as smooth as the Sumatra. Perhaps more importantly, the Sumatra utilized the Swiss Water decaf process, rather than the more common chemical process. I am confused why Starbucks would discontinue the variety that is chemical free considering company ethics. So now, I am trying other companies' water processed decafs, hoping to find one that comes close to Starbucks Decaf Sumatra. If anyone has found one, please share in these reviews.

Delicious

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My household is huge fans of dark roast coffees, and Sumatra fit the bill more than adequately. We're also really focused on ONE type of coffee bean: time after time, blends or multiple types of beans that create a compilation type of roast just do not taste good, as the flavors seem to "fight" each other, and it always shows up in the flavor of the coffee. Although I might have liked to have ground the beans myself to my taste (as well as coffee making apparatus), it's nice to have a break from doing so! In short, with the dark roast, single-origin type, and ground coffee, Sumatra was a big hit -- and I will look for it in the store to purchase! #freesample

One of my faves

Not only is Sumatra one of my favorite coffee blends, but Starbucks' version is one of the best of the best. For a real treat, try the Aged Sumatra when it's available (wish it were more often) and my new discovery if you like one with a tad less "bite": sun-dried Sumatra. Yes, this is VERY bold (when made right), just like my other fave, Komodo Dragon, but if you're going to drink coffee, go all the way :)!

Dark roast - Sumatra

Starbucks' dark roasts will always be a first choice for me; Komodo Dragon is at the top of my list, and Sumatra is a worthy contender. This was my first purchase through the online store, and it was delivered on time, intact, and was delicious when brewed: you can't beat the aroma of brewing coffee. Thanks for everything!
