This coffee is roasted to the point it smells burnt and that all the oils from the coffee beans have seeped out giving it a greasy look. I tried to add extra water in my chemex to make it not as strong but no use. Tried it for cold brew but still no luck. Just had to throw it out!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Starbucks French Roast kCup are perfect. The aroma is the best and as soon as you start to smell it you begin to wake to wake up. It is a strong cup of coffee that will definitely get you going in the morning and you can’t beat the ease of it I. A kCup.

I never travel without French (or Italian) Roast VIA. The only problem I have is that I frequently share my VIA with friends, family and strangers but sometimes I don't have enough VIA in my handbag for everyone!! Do you think Starbucks can design a rollerboard case so i can carry hundreds of packets of VIA and then I will never find myself anywhere in the world without it?? haha..just kidding about the rollerboard..but seriously.. thank you for developing such a wonderful product!!

Bought a bag of whole beans at my local grocery shop, looking to try out brands that I don't usually buy. When I opened the bag, my first impression was pretty nice, the smell was deep and aromatic- like a French roast should be; the color seemed a little too dark, darker than other French roast brands, and I suspected that it was burnt. I went on to brew my coffee using the drip process. Seeing as I'm a coffee junkie, I made sure that the temperature was right, the filter was pre-wet and warm, and whatever else those enthusiasts do. I never drink my coffee black, I always add something like ice cream, or milk. The taste was burnt, and bitter, and the almost disgusting aftertaste stuck with me for a long time. I tried it thrice actually, and was disappointed each time, especially when it sits for a minute, it is almost undrinkable. I've never had such a bad experience with other brands of French roast coffee, I can tolerate bitter tastes pretty well. Needless to say, I'll be taking a break from French roast for a while, and will never buy Starbucks brand coffee ever again, sorry :(

Love Starbucke coffee, and being able to make it from my own kitchen. The Caffe Verona is a pretty strong flavor and will have you awake in no time. Love the easy to use measured out cans, so don't over use or any goes to waste. Would recommend if you are looking for a bold strong coffee.

was surprised how quickly my package arrived...order Friday evening late and it was at my door on Tuesday....Keep up the good work was able to enjoy my coffee with no line or waiting. only bad thing was the cost of shipping something with very little weight...
