It supports joint health and also helps keep their skin and coat healthy. The chews are small and easy for little and/or older dogs to chew. It does take a few weeks before any differences would be noticed, but well worth it to help a fur baby get around better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received our bag of Cosequin Minis, and are thrilled. We have two dogs, both labs but different mix. Our older Dog Max tore his ACL equivalent about a year ago. The surgery is several thousand dollars with a 3-6 month stay in a vet hospital. So we opted for other options, and that was taking supplements and pain medications for a time, and now he just takes the supplements. This is one of them, and that is so he has two flavors. He‘s finicky. But this made a huge difference to him and for us to watch him. He is still a little slow to get up but he gets up and down, and now will jump the three steps to the top when he is in a hurry to get out, and sometimes to get in. His initial dosage was higher to get him going, and then we backed off as instructed. But these to work wonders, and can’t imagine how horrible he would feel without them. He is 8 years old, and really does like them, and the help it provides him. When he went for his exam etc last month, she was amazed at how well he was doing, and getting around. Ill warn you they stink, you can smell the fish. But I plug my nose and get them for them everyday. That’s the first they get when they come in from outside in the morning. The younger lab, is just hitting six months old in 2 weeks. He is full of it……morning to night. I told the Vet about him getting his nose bent out of shape when Max gets his “treat”, and she said he can have them too. He just takes the smaller ones though, or I break the regular ones in half. The Cosequin is good for their joints and their coat. Labs have a tendency to have bad hips it seems, and we are hoping since Rocky likes them, and takes them, maybe he wont have those issues when he gets bigger/older. This is a great product and really affordable through Wal-mart. We will always use them with the dogs, they are family too. We so appreciate the product and its ability to help them this much. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These particular joint health supplements are for small dogs, mine is a 4-year-old 12 pound Chihuahua mix. She has had arthritis since she was about two. In the cold weather she is in a lot of pain. She quite literally won't move unless she has to. I started her on these about a week ago, and they seem to be helping her. She isn't too reluctant to go out and doesn't seem to hold up her back leg (she swaps out from one to the other) as much. It's a little early to tell if this is really going to overcome her problems, but so far so good. I do have to say these chews stink to me and she won't eat them unless I cut one up into about 6-8 pieces and hide them in her wet dog food. But there have been other chews I've tried that she wouldn't eat even if I chopped them up in her wet food, so at least she is eating them and they have a chance to help her. I plan to continue these as the weather gets colder. I hope the longer she takes them, the better she feels. I would recommend these.

I give to my small dog for help with joints and mobility. He’s had a knee issue since I’ve had him. He didn’t like them initially, but after a few days, he gladly started taking them. I can even hide medicine in them when prescribed by his Vet. I also greatly appreciate the much lower cost on walmart.com compared to pet store chains. I don’t know yet if this supplement has had a positive impact on his health and well-being. His Vet approved of my decision to feed him healthy supplements. Will re-order and continue as a preventive supplement.

I gave it to my picky eater schnauzer for the first week and as long as she thought it was a snack she would eat it. Then she tired of that snack and won't eat it now. But it did somewhat help her while she took it. She is six years old and a very picky eater. I still try giving it to her and sometimes she takes it fine and sometimes it is just a no. I would recommend this for your dogs. I am going to continue giving it to my dog when i can get her to take it.

First things first, they stink! If you have a picky dog like mine I wouldn’t even try these. I gagged when I smelled inside the bottle. Now on the other hand if your dog isn’t picky and will eat anything in a good treat then these would be a good choice. I like that they are gummys so the dog doesn’t feel the crunch when it’s hidden in soft yummy food like hamburger meat or cheese. Some dogs may just inhale these treats which would work as well! My vet has actually always recommended an Omega 3 supplement for our small dog because he was born with luxating patellas and has arthritis now. I like how these come from a veterinarian recommended brand. These have glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM which have all been shown to help joint health. They also contain omega 3s which is good for several body functions, including the skin and dog’s coats. The bottle has clear directions and the ingredient list seems simple and not filled with several unnecessary ingredients. If you’re dog isn’t picky I would recommend these as an all around supplement for your dog and their joint and full body health.

So decided to give these a try, I have not had these long enough to notice any change, there is a six week start up, so I will update any changes then. But my dogs love these chews, I kid you not. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just received these Cosequin maximum strength supplement soft chews for small dogs, so not sure of long term effects yet. I do know our two dachshunds like the taste and they are very picky when it comes to taking medicine in any form so kudos on making them appealing. We are hoping it helps our ten year old, as she sometimes has trouble jumping up on couch etc. I did a four star rating, as they have a very strong fish odor, which is not appealing to this human but probably wouldn't bother most people. One thing the odor did for me was to make sure the package was tightly sealed until the next dosage, which is a good thing to keep the chews fresh! I could list all the ingredients but you can get that from the package or reading online but everything sounds safe and is definitely from a reputable company.
