Fails just past the Warranty

This is the 2nd Sonicare model to fail in the last 3 years. This newer generation model is built just well enough to outlast the warranty. Garbage. Because I have brush heads, I'll buy the cheapest model to use them up, then switch to a better quality maker.

The 6100 is lightweight and very easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first time I started using the 6100 it was a little strange as I've never used an electric toothbrush before. But one of the standout features I really like is the built-in pressure sensor, which alerts you if you're brushing too hard, helping to protect your gums from damage. It also includes a smart timer and pacer, ensuring you brush for the recommended two minutes. I would have preferred a little longer on the timer. The toothbrush comes with a long-lasting battery that provides up to two weeks of use once charged. I actually have gotten over 6 weeks on a single charge.

Review Resubmission

So I submitted a review earlier this week which reflected on my Philips customer service experience. I received a followup email which stated my review would not be posted. Here's a quote from the company email: “Unfortunately your review hasn't been published because it doesn't meet our Philips content guidelines. 1. directs business away 2. contains inappropriate content Would you like to have another go? You can resubmit your review.” I did not post inappropriate content. I documented honestly the issues I had with my experience over multiple attempts over two days to make a purchase. That was it. No company is perfect. I identified an issue in a review. Btw, I and members of my household own other Philips products. Caveat emptor.

This has changed my oral procedure for the good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised at first by how the brush performed and sounded. It truly is sonic. It has greatly improved my oral cleaning procedure for both morning and before bedtime. This toothbrush makes me feel like I am healthier - that my whole mouth is clean, not just my teeth. Brushing with the ProtectiveClean 6100 gives me a great sense of confidence with my health. I am very, very, happy with this brush!

Love the tooth brush, but having some trouble!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the phillips sonic tooth brush. This is my third. The last two died after a few years, but long after warranty. The only problem I have is that although this tooth brush is new and I'm using the brush head that came with it, the brush falls off as I'm using it. This just started a couple weeks ago and I've been meaning to contact the company about the warranty. I can still brush with it, but it falls off at least one time, every day. I've taken off the brush head and cleaned both ends, but I don't see anything that would keep it from having a strong placement. I haven't had this happen with your previous tooth brushes. Although my last one didn't seem to have a good seal with any new brush heads after I had used it tge base for a couple years. I thought that maybe I was buying the wrong brush heads, so tried several different types of sonic brush head, but all seemed to have a gap and were wobbly. That said, none if them ever fell off the base while in use. Can you help?

Does its job very well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cleans teeth well. Have only used the "clean" function. See no reason to try the others. Supposed to notify user every thirty seconds to change quadrants. Usually, only get one notification after 90 seconds. Not a big deal or I would have sent it back. Battery life is as advertised, about two weeks. Quiet. Like the size and feel.

Use with care

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good, inexpensive model which odes not rotate.Instead, it just vibrates. Due to frequent vibration per minute, the metal mile that the toothbrush head goes into may get loosen in a few years. Thus, it must be used with care. I had to get mine replaced through warranty with no cost.

ANOTHER ABJECT FAILURE

My 5100 failed under warranty. While waiting for a replacement I decided to upgrade to the 6100 which has now failed a month from purchase at the same point: the brush attachment post. So now I have a 5100 replacement that I have not used and a 6100 that I paid for that has now failed. Absolutely pathetic quality control.

Quality not as good

I always had electric toothbrushes from Philips. Last one I bought lasted me 4 years. This one I bought, after one day, the middle silver part starting peeling .. where the did quality go? Or did I get a defected one. So upset about this. For the money you pay, this shouldn't have happened

much better than original products

After using the product just once I feel like I just visited the dental hygienist. Teeth are amazingly clean. If you have an older version of this device throw it away and get one of these. It is well worth it. I used the brush with the W and they have several brush types. The unit has several modes and speeds which you get used to the more you use it. The array of replacement brushes is quite large and a little confusing but I intend to use several until I get the perfect one for me. I could however just use the W brush that came with the unit and it still would be perfect.
