This particular product is disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I believe this particular brush is defective, this is my 4th brush in the last 20 yrs and my entire family of 5 uses a Sonicare with zero problems. Several times this particular brush has slowed all the way down as if the battery/ charge is dying and with no intensity this may last from a few seconds to well over a minute and in this case, i have to start the cycle over again! It can be frustrating as time is off essence! I decided to get the 6000 series and I amnit happy with it

Hi, Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your fourth Sonicare toothbrush. We are really pleased to hear that you have been enjoying our toothbrushes for the last 20 years, what a shame that you have had a disappointing experience with your ProtectiveClean 6100. We'll be more than happy to try and resolve the issue for you! Kindly make sure that the handle has been fully charged for 24 hours with no interruptions. Check also that the charger is not placed on a metal surface, or close to other chargers as this can interfere with the charging process. We hope the full charge will improve the issue! If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch via social media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook and Twitter. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website www.philips.com/support. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further. Hope to speak to you soon! Kind regards,

Needs to be redesigned with durable buttons.

I have used sonicare for years, and personally love the product itself and it's performance. My problem is the turn on and off button always disintegrates in less than a year, causing the toothbrush not to turn on or off properly, so your forced to buy another one. For the price of this toothbrush, it should not need to be replaced in less than a year. Three years in a row! Phillip sonicare, please address the issue of the on off button disintegrating due to the fabric it's made out of.

What's not to like?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For have been using Philips products for over 20 years and I am never disappointed. When Philips came out with the Sonic toothbrush my oral hygienist suggested I use one. I did and haven't looked back. I am still using the Philips sonic toothbrush and wouldn't consider anything else and my oral hygienist agrees.

Poor quality

They do a great job cleaning your teeth but we have had to replace it every year because they break. One time they gave us a replacement at no cost but in the past five years we've purchased four. We use only the skincare brand toothbrush heads with it. The quality isn't very good.

An upgrade over most toothbrushes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Philips line of brushes since they were recommended to me by my dentist over 12 years ago. I am 62 years old with two small cavities and while I would like to credit genetics, I am sure my continuing use of the Sonicare toothbrushes has helped with my overall dental health and general well being.

Dies after two years or less

Divide the purchase price by two and that is the cost per year you will pay because the product is not built to last. When it starts vibrating loudly it is gone. If it is under warranty Philips may send you a replacement but it will also last less than two years. It's a great toothbrush while it lasts.

Great Product until warranty ends

the Sonic toothbrush does a great job of cleaning and maintaining teeth, especially when you don't have the dexterity to use a regular brush. Unfortunately, we continue to replace them with 1, 2, and 2.5 years, just after warranty expires. They just don't last as long as you would expect for such an expensive toothbrush.

My Third Sonicare

This is my third Sonicare toothbrush purchased over the last 10 years. They have all performed well and lasted a reasonably long time. I find the replacement brushes much too expensive and have resorted to generic brush heads for the last several years. This new model follows this path as it uses heads with embedded chips to monitor the life of the head. They are exorbitantly too expensive for my budget so I doubt that I will ever buy them. I do like the choices I have for brushing and I also like the warning I get if I am brushing too hard. My dentist likes the results of my using this system also.

Review Resubmission

So I submitted a review earlier this week which reflected on my Philips customer service experience. I received a followup email which stated my review would not be posted. Here's a quote from the company email: “Unfortunately your review hasn't been published because it doesn't meet our Philips content guidelines. 1. directs business away 2. contains inappropriate content Would you like to have another go? You can resubmit your review.” I did not post inappropriate content. I documented honestly the issues I had with my experience over multiple attempts over two days to make a purchase. That was it. No company is perfect. I identified an issue in a review. Btw, I and members of my household own other Philips products. Caveat emptor.

Quality not as good

I always had electric toothbrushes from Philips. Last one I bought lasted me 4 years. This one I bought, after one day, the middle silver part starting peeling .. where the did quality go? Or did I get a defected one. So upset about this. For the money you pay, this shouldn't have happened
