The item is very sturdy and durable, but it used to come with the purple top now it comes with the blacktop. I’ve had one for years it is great also for storing dry goods.

It's huge, please note that it seals perfectly but is not designed to be air tight, I repeat, is not air tight! .It fits 12lb of beans ,10lb sugar and still have some room, of course everything kept in their own sealed bag.

I love that this is a food grade pet food storage container. So I feel safe using it for my pets food. This is a really good container. It is sturdy and easy to use. It is $20 cheaper the similar container I bought from a pet store. I am buying another one now for our cat food.

I ordered these to store the pellets for my grill. Each one holds 40 pounds of pellets with room to close the lid. The container is well built and seems very sturdy. Keeps the pellets dry and safe. The included scoop is great for removing unused pellet from the grill when changing pellet "flavors".

We bought one of these for cat food and two larger ones for dog food. After about a week of use, we noticed the dogs and cats had stopped eating their food. Inspected the containers and noticed an extremely strong plastic odor coming from inside the containers. Bought more dog food and cat food (same brands we always get from Sam's) but did not put it in these containers. Put two bowls out as a test, one with food from new bags and one with food from containers. Dogs and cats would not touch bowls with food from containers and ate the food from the bags like they were starving. Had to throw out appx. 125 pounds of dog and cat food. The extremely strong plastic odor could pose a potential health problem. Would not recommend these for use with animal food. We will be returning these.

These containers are great! We use them for storing large bags of cat food. I'm sure they could be used for storing a variety of things. The lid seals very well and the included scoop is super for measuring and scooping out the product. This item was affordable. Get it - don't think you'll regret. :)

This was the perfect size for peanuts in the shell. That's what we use it for.
