First time purchase. Excellent quality basmati rice. Follow directions and you will be be enjoying fluffy rice in 20 minutes. There is no need for a rice cooker. I cook extra so that i can make our favorite rice custard for next mornings breakfast or enjoys as a dessert/snack. So many possibilities with this excellent grain rice from India. Great rustic packaging utilizing a reuseable burlap designed bag with zippered closure.

I was surprised that such finest quality Basmati rice was available online at Walmart. I've seen this rice at much higher prices online with $15-20 shipping charges!! Walmart makes it so much convenient to buy this online with free shipping over $50 purchase or a nominal $4 charge shipping for the rice. Thank you Walmart for a great product and great service!!!

The grains were long, not sticky, but fluffy. Had a great shape and texture. Very delicious plain with butter. Didn't take long to make on the stove or cooker.

I used to purchase Royal Basmati rice from a local grocery store, which was much pricier. However, I'm thrilled with both the quality and affordability of the rice. I'm also pleased that Walmart has started paying attention to packaging, opting for smaller boxes instead of unnecessarily large ones. Thank you!

Packaging had no issues as usual, but always check the packaging of every bag if you're buying in bulk. The inner packaging sometimes breaks during shipping/ delivery, and it's hard to notice because of the outer bag (red). One of the best basmati for Biriyani

Very good quality and value. Just be careful what you order it with if you're getting it shipped because it was flopping around in a large box and could potentially damage items. Fortunately the only casualty was a box of garbage bags, the box was crushed but the bags were fine.

The bag is exactly as shown. It has a zipper. It's reusable. The rice looks good. It comes from India. I couldn't find rice in the stores so I got online and found this. It took a while but under the circumstances that's understandable. I got it before I ran out.

i love this brand of rice, thought i'd save a lot buying the 20 pound bag. wrong. gross, gross, gross. smelled like the deteriorating plastic bag it came in, inside the burlap bag- combined with the strong smell of truck exhaust. i cooked a batch anyway, hoping against hope, but yuck, worse when cooked. gonna be expensive wild bird food i guess.

I like this Royal basmathi rice for several reason. Most of the time it's available in Walmart. The price is expensive but affordable. The rice has a nice aroma and the taste is delicious when mixed with the mutter paneer curry. After the rice is cooked betterto keep the lid always to sustain aroma. The cons are-- it's expensive. The grain is soft and breaks easily.Proper care should be taken while mixing with spoon The aroma is not that strong but still likable. As a whole it is a good option for rice lovers. I am glad that Walmart is able to provide Royal Basmathi as the name suggests, our favorite rice. l strongly recommend this product for those who would like to try and enjoy!
