The grains cook up long and fluffy instead of turning mushy, and the smell while it's cooking is so nice. It tastes clean and light, not starchy or heavy like some cheaper brands I've tried. This was our go-to rice for years. We bought a bag a few hours ago and cooked enough for supper and almost tossed it even though we were starving. We will be returning to Sam's tomorrow to return the bag and unfortunately will be looking for a new brand since many other reviews are noticing the same terrible quality issues. OMG - this is it! This rice was delicious! I ate it right from the pan it was so good. I also loved that it stayed fluffy and not sticky for a while after it was done so I could finish cooking, and easily go back for seconds later in the evening. This is my new go to rice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Royal Stove Top Rice which is Basmati and I cooked it. It didn't take long , maybe about 10 minutes and it was very fluffy and light. I then tried it alone with a little bit of condiment , some sauce and some cheese. I was impressed with the flavor, the lightness - which plays well with the stomach - I didn't have any bloated feeling and it was just a wonderful dish. I usually don't eat a lot of rice it can be sort of heavy and filling , but the Royal Basmati rice was very fulfilling without the heaviness.
