Rice quality is good and packing is also good as it is packed in a plastic bag that saves the aroma of the rice and the quality remains good. This is common breed of Pakistan and India. This one is from India but rice from Pakistan are far more superior in terms of taste, quality, size and aroma. A good copy of Paksitani rice, they are not best rice but at least are better amongst the available options. Bag size should be double so that we don't have to buy again and again. Desi stores are selling same product for more money so here it is a good option.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, if it wasn’t for my rice cooker breaking the first time I tried cooking this rice - I’m sure it would have been perfect the first time around but the second time was 10/10!!! The way it crisps up when you fry it for crispy rice balls, to having it with some salt, pepper and butter!!! Go die for. The rice grains are perfect (not to long thank goodness) but it’s also so fluffy and flavorful! Will definitely be purchasing this rice again VERY soon!

My dad has type 2 diabetes. As he doesn't like brown rice or whole grain, we decided to give basmati rice a try. It has lower GI value. We have noticed his blood sugar level becomes lower since we switched from regular white rice to basmati. The only drawback is the taste. It's not bad, just not as fragrant as, say, Thai Jasmin varieties.

I used to get Basmati rice from local Indian grocery stores. I was never able to find the same great quality online. The other day I was ordering something and was looking to buy something else to reach the minimum for Free shipping and stumbled upon this. Tried it for authentic Biryani dish and came out awesome. Love this brand Basmati, would definitely recommend.

We normally use long grain rice or short green rice but this basmati is my new favorite thing. Based on my family‘s reaction to it it looks like we’re gonna be getting a lot more of it. I have bought this rice before.. I like the big bag although I rebag it in 4 cup bags with the food saver and than I can open just what I need..store it in my ball jars .. I use it for any rice dishes I make but also because I make some of my own dog food instead of buying canned to add to her dry food.. and I throw the rice in with the broth and it turn off the burner and it cooks perfectly..

This rice is excellent. It is a little longer than the usual basmati rice we get. The other brand was discontinued so we decided to try this one. We are glad we did. The nutty aroma as it cooks is delightful and it is very light and fluffy. It is also the most economical bag of basmati rice we have found.

Ordered 2 bags. 1 bag came completely fine, sealed and zipped appropriately. the 2nd bag was completely unzipped, the zipper completely broken and unhinged, and the bag punctured/broken with 1/2 of the rice all over. Both of the bags came in an enclosed shipping box and I knew that the hassle of returning the bag of rice would be greater than just throwing it away. The actual seal on top of the plastic bag was broken. I'm not sure how they inspect their merchandise before they ship, but this was a complete disaster. I've ordered numerous bags of rice from Amazon and never had a problem with the way it came. This was the first time ordering this product from Walmart. I will not be ordering this product from Walmart again.
