Ive purchased this on a few occasions and am very satisfied with this rice. My wife grew up in India and I sort of did too so our expectations of basmati is a bit higher than most. These skinny long grains go perfect with chicken curry, biryani, beef and broccoli, even teriyaki if you dont have the traditional rice. Its a staple in our house and the value is as good as buying in Patel Brothers or any Indian grocery store. Bought two and got free shipping for that much weight in transit is usually very expensive. This is a no brainer for us. Come to think, might buy two more now to stock for winter in case COVID gets worse and there may be shortages.

The taste and price are good no doubt. I have been purchasing for the same vendor, the same one for last 2 years but last 2 times I got very old one and it had lots of bugs in it. Initially, I thought may be my mistake they sent the one with bugs. I reordered after few days unfortunately, I got the same old quality one. Not sure if these vendors runs any inspection on old food products even though they should. Lost the trust in Walmart packaging food products.

I used to get Basmati rice from local Indian grocery stores. I was never able to find the same great quality online. The other day I was ordering something and was looking to buy something else to reach the minimum for Free shipping and stumbled upon this. Tried it for authentic Biryani dish and came out awesome. Unlike other types of rice the grains only expand lengthways resulting in the grains retaining their long slender characteristic when cooked. The aroma of rice when you open the pot is so divine which is never going to fade even when other varieties come to the market.

Best quality long grain rice. Place amount you want with 1/2 inch water covering in a Tight fitting lid pot, bring to boil, immediately reduce to lowest setting , set timer for 20 minutes. Firm and separate kernels. Afraid could not get as not in club but got with Plus, free shipping.Thank goodness.

sold us fake basmati. Size of the rice grain, taste, cooking time related parameters are all matching regular sona masuri regular grain. overall, this is being badges wringly as basmati. if you are looking to buy real basmati rice, please stay away from this seller/brand/store. very disappointed with the purchase...

Our favorite rice. The Dehradun Swad Basmati is way more expensive. This one, while not as fragrant, is really good. Simple to cook. Get to boil and then let cook on low for a total of 25 minutes. Uses less water than regular rice. Ratio is two cups water to one cup rice to get perfectly flaky rice.

We love this rice. Tastes and smells great as expected, cooked in a cheap little rice cooker. I split it up into 5 lbs bags and vacuum seal them. It takes us almost a year to use it all up, but I hate paying a fortune for small bags at the supermarket.

I ordered this rice because I read about rice containing arsenic which is in the soil that it is grown in. I read that rice grown in India has lower arsenic which was why I bought it. This is a long grain white rice that has a great taste. I bought a rice cooker to cook it in. The 25 pound bag comes in a zippered burlap bag with a plastic bag with the rice inside. It is quite large and I am sure will last us for more than a year. I am very pleased with it and will order it again.
