[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was just thinking what to cook for my son visiting from college. Using my Royal rice to make steamed rice for my chicken fried rice recipe. This rice smells great cooking. Love using Tasmania rice when I make India and Orientall dishes. Love the new packaging as easy to spot on the shelf. Great recordable bag!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The rice cooked up so easily. I used it for a bowl with salmon and it cooked quickly and was so very fluffy. There was no negative scent and did not have any issues with sticking or the rice not cooking evenly. The only downside was packaging as it was difficult to open in order to reseal. The stick for resealing did not stick after initially opening the package. This isnt a big deterrent as I do usually repackage my rice in containers but may not work for others who keep in existing packaging.

This is very good quality rice in this bag. I have a large rice container into which I store the contents. The surviving bag is made of jute (gunny sack) so I use it for shopping. It even has a zipper on top. This spring I learned you can grow vegetables in gunny sacks so I will try that this year. Online container bags are EXPENSIVE. The only negative I have is their website has different prices for the same bag! The local Walmart store always offers the bag for just under $20. for 20 pounds.

First I read all the bad reviews, so i went thru half the bag, and found no bugs or dirt. I could not smell anything dry , so i cooked a cup full on the stove. Use 2 cups of water. Brought to a broil and than simmer for 17 min. Turn off heat let sit for 5 minutes. Smelled wonderful. Fuffy and tender with nice size grain. This is good rice for 1.00 a pound.

The rating is for Sams packing and shipping. The rice itself is very good and usually arrives packed with non-fragrant bubble wrap. This time, someone packed the rice with trash from the warehouse. This trash with strong chemical smell ruined the food item. Please train the persons working in the shipping area. I don't believe that this is the new "green" policy of recycling of waste packaging for shipping instead of using the usual packing materials like bubble wraps. I have to spend extra time and money to order from the local club.

This is basmati rice of acceptable quality, great for microwave rather instant rice, microwave instructions available on tag, really great rice if you get the lim of how to make it either on oven or by microwave ( 1 cup uncooked rice cooks in total of like 16 minutes to a fluff great rice. You can mix with things like sweet peas ( frozen ) , dill, spinach , cilantro ( fresh chopped ) , parsley ( fresh chopped ) and many other greens for varity of rices again through microwave ( a few minutes more, stir every couple of minutes) . At areall great price ( 17.xx ) which hopefully wil get even cheaper.

this company has consistency problems. a 20lbs nov'2019 packed sack from cost co had zero fragrance, lacked hint of almond husk flavor and a starchy chew. my guess is this batch (left) was domestic usa grown and not actually imported from india where the authentic (right) stuff is grown. don't get me wrong, the rice i got was fresh and good quality, but if you are looking for real basmati, i would not trust this brand anymore.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favorite part about this rice is it wasn’t as dirty as other rice is when you wash it before cooking. The second best part was how fluffy it was, but still moist when it was cooked so it didn’t dry out. It went perfect with my meal of pork chops and steamed vegetables.

Absolutely great rice. Add 1.5 times water, boil on Medium until the water is all gone, serve with chicken, vegetables, fish ! Anything you desire. This rice is the true extra long Basmati. They get as long as almost an inch if boiled in medium with 1.5 times water. Has a great aroma ! Cheaper than all other stores even costco!

I bought this rice because I was looking for a non sticky rice, when it arrived and I cooked it, it was mushy. On the description it said non sticky rice and I was so happy but the happiness turned into gloom. Now I don't know if I can return this rice because I've opened it.
