Don’t buy

We are rice eater in AR. I’m so glad that Sam’s carry basmati because I can’t find any basmati rice in AR. If Sam’s carry brown basmati rice,,,,, it would be superb perfect!

First I read all the bad reviews, so i went thru half the bag, and found no bugs or dirt. I could not smell anything dry , so i cooked a cup full on the stove. Use 2 cups of water. Brought to a broil and than simmer for 17 min. Turn off heat let sit for 5 minutes. Smelled wonderful. Fuffy and tender with nice size grain. This is good rice for 1.00 a pound.

this company has consistency problems. a 20lbs nov'2019 packed sack from cost co had zero fragrance, lacked hint of almond husk flavor and a starchy chew. my guess is this batch (left) was domestic usa grown and not actually imported from india where the authentic (right) stuff is grown. don't get me wrong, the rice i got was fresh and good quality, but if you are looking for real basmati, i would not trust this brand anymore.

This is basmati rice of acceptable quality, great for microwave rather instant rice, microwave instructions available on tag, really great rice if you get the lim of how to make it either on oven or by microwave ( 1 cup uncooked rice cooks in total of like 16 minutes to a fluff great rice. You can mix with things like sweet peas ( frozen ) , dill, spinach , cilantro ( fresh chopped ) , parsley ( fresh chopped ) and many other greens for varity of rices again through microwave ( a few minutes more, stir every couple of minutes) . At areall great price ( 17.xx ) which hopefully wil get even cheaper.

This isn't the best basmati rice we've ever had, but we don't have many options where I live. This is much better than the brands labeled in the U.S. (including the Walmart brand). We have had no problems with quality or consistency. The price is excellent! I have paid $5 more at Asian and Middle Eastern markets for the same rice.

Opening this bag a rice was wonderful. The fragrance re-inforced the label on the bag stating it was from a new harvest. Rice has a long shelf life if kept in a dry and pest free environment. The rice came in a plastic bag inside a very cute burlap sack which had a zipper and handles. I will definitely re-purpose the bag!

I was worried about the packing when I order 2 bags of 20lbs rice. but they packed separately which is great. The first time when I order from amazon both 20labs packed in one back and the box was all ripped and torn out, not that I care about the box but just don't want to have damaged products. this is been great we love rice and the service.

Bugs once I opened, The top of the cheap thin plastic bag that holds the rice had a little hole in it, some rice was out, in the burlap part, but saw some kind of bug in there. Dead but didn't look further. very small. Probably weevils. Not worth $20 to get bugs in your home!

I bought this rice for the first time via online. 8 got very sick having diarrhea, stomach cramps and headaches. i didn't know this as the source my illness. that had stopped when I was using a different brand of rice. I buy different brands of rice then 2 weeks later I cooked basmati again this time I only ate it with fresh baked salmon. the diarrhea, stomach cramps and headaches came back that I recalled was exactly the same as the last time I had basmati rice. so now I am returning this bag so Sam's can check if this rice I got is real basmati or not and what kind of chemicals in it seems very toxic. I am not sure what long term effects it would have in me I hope none. the rice once cooked would turn into very porous and light with a very strong odor. possibly a fake rice. I have eaten all kinds of rice some store brand names without any problems.
