[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used both the regular litter and the light weight. We prefer the light weight because it is so much easier to deal with. Not only in getting it home from the store but lifting it to put in the litter box.

I had never tried the lightweight tidy cats litter in the past due to the higher price. I found out I had to have shoulder surgery in March so I knew I had to figure out a way to handle my multiple cats' litter myself because my recovery would take about 12 weeks. I went on a search for the best lightweight litter out there and after trying 5 or 6 brands, tidy cats won the contest hands down. It's half as heavy as regular and virtually dust free. It controls odor better than the regular stuff and clumps and scoops awesomely! I am now a convert for life. It may cost almost 2x as much as the regular stuff but it lasts longer because it's not necessary to completely change it out as often and just the fact that it weighs half as much as the regular stuff is enough to make me a converted user of this from now on.

I have used this litter for years because I have multiple cats and the other litter can get quite heavy. It does track a bit but the reason I give it a 3 is because the lid is VERY difficult to open. I think 8 out of 10 times I use this litter I have a very hard time opening the lid. I can't imagine how tricky it would be for older people or people with limited mobility in their hands.

Always have loved my feline critters. Likewise I’ve always loathed the litter box routine. After falling for every fad, new and improved self-cleaning boxes, kitty bidets etc⬅️JK, the only product that has been consistently good is Tidy Cats Lightweight. Of course it’s not going to relieve you of your litter responsibilities nor will you see zero grains of excess sand outside the box, but the amount you see will be considerably less, the odor is substantially reduced, the product is definitely lighter and easier to use, and you actually need less of it.

We have nine indoor only cats, ages 1 year to 14 years, and 11 litter boxes, so finding a litter they all like, and keeping my home clean, is quite a chore. Purina Tidy Cats Light Weight, Low Dust, Clumping Cat Litter keeps our home almost dust free and everyone likes that it is fragrance free. I love the convenience of the big box and that this litter is so light weight compared to to regular clay litter.

The lightweight litter is effective in controlling odor and forms a tight clump. Cats adjusted to it with no hesitation. Pail is handy for carrying but I was worried about so much plastic packaging for a product. I have found local group repurposing pails. Litter produces some dust, but far less than regular. Ease of front door delivery and lighter weight of disposal make this litter my favorite!

One of my cats is declawed and when he would use his poop shoot house the litter would clump up under his paws leaving him whinning in discomfort.And he wouldnt use his house anymore. It is light weight and easy to lift but i dont think any cat should be using this type of litter it doesnt do well for cats.

I have back problems so the light weight litter is really nice. However, I have found that there is more litter outside the box on the floor. I seems to be clean litter so I don't know if the cats kick it out of the box when they are using it. I just sweep it up and put it back in the litter box.

This litter has got to be one of the most dusty litters I’ve ever used. It tracks around the whole house, the hardwood floor, the furniture. I can see my cats paws literally imprinted with all the dust. This is the first and last time I’ll be using this litter

I really appreciate the odor control from this cat litter. I also like that the bucket is easy to carry because it’s lightweight litter. It does track more than the heavier weight litters do. But the thing I just can’t get past is how much dust it produces. I use litter robots and every time they rotate there’s just this puff of dust. And I have four litter robots. Even just the dust problem were corrected. This would’ve been five stars because I do think that clumps swell and takes care of odors as well.
