This is a good cat litter. I often hear that you should not use scented cat litter as cats don't like it, or it's not good for them. We use this in one litter box and an unscented in another, and once they have used the unscented one, one time, they are at the scented cat litter always. They both are very stinky cats, when it comes to the litter box, and this litter helps to block that smell much better than any unscented does. Plus it is so much easier to deal with, as it is so much lighter than other litters.

I have 3 cats and 3 litter boxes. I hate cleaning the boxes, but Tidy Cats lightweight clumping litter has made my job easier. I don’t have to empty the entire litter box- just scoop the clumps. And thank heavens for a box of litter I can actually carry! I have a 25 lb bag of another brand of non- clumping litter which sits unused. Once I discovered Tidy Cats clumping litter, I will use no other!

Really like this product. I buy Purina Tidy Cats Light Weight, Low Dust, Clumping Cat Litter 24/7 Performance Multi Cat Litter because it is easy to clean up after my cat and it is light weight just like is says it is. I also like to buy Purina Tidy Cats Light Weight, Low Dust, Clumping, Light Weight Glade Clear Springs Multi Cat Litter and I mix them together so there will be a fresh smell when the cat goes to the bathroom. As soon as we switched from (Regular) to the (Lightweight). Our cat completely stopped using the litter boxes and has starting using the floor. My cat is 8 and has never went outside the box until, we tried this litter. It is dust free but that doesn't matter is cat's won't use it.

I am really impressed with how light the litter is . As in ,not heavy.And it does a great job at odor control. When changing out the litter for new, it comes out of the cat box so easily. No scraping nor hardly any residue. The only drawback is how much it tracks when the kitty leaves the box.

I have tried several Cat Litters and over time this is the one that has won out. It comes in a good sturdy storage and carry bucket. It lasts a long time and my cats FILLS a Extra Large Cat Litter box that has to be emptied every single day. Works very well with smell for both the poop and pee. The Container can just be recycled but can also be used to story other things after it is empty.

I have nothing good to say about this cat litter...oh well, it is lightweight. I purchased this 17 lb pail in the store when the other Tidy Cats pail that I usually buy was out of stock, not once but twice (thanks Walmart). First, note that it costs about $6 more than the regular weight Tidy Cats. Second, with the cost in mind, you use it a lot more because it expands like a sponge. I have one 8 pound cat and I used this bucket in about 3 weeks after topping off the litter every 5-6 days or so. The regular weight pail of Tidy Cat litter easily lasted 6 weeks or more, so you are using twice as much with the lightweight litter. If you didn't do the math: 2 pails of lightweight Tidy Cats litter at $20.98 ($41.96 total) versus 1 pail of regular clumping Tidy Cats Litter at $14.64. That's a $27.32 savings for a 6 week period. Third, the litter is super sticky. The litter becomes very moist (think cooked oatmeal left in a pot overnight) and almost always sticks to the sides or bottom of the cat box, which takes a lot of scraping to remove. Also, stray bits of litter stick to my floor and I have to scrape it up because it won't come up with a broom or vacuum. I had to go over the floor with a mop twice with much effort to get the floor clean. I have a 3 x 5 rug under the litter box and I still get stray bits on the floor. Then, to top it off, when my cat was laying next to me on the bed, I saw large clumps of this litter stuck between the pads of his feet and claws. He must have been so uncomfortable, not to mention, yuck on my bed and furniture. Fourth, it doesn't control odor well. I could be in another room and smell cat urine even though I cleaned out the cat box a few hours before and added fresh litter. Unfortunately, I am working from home and sharing a room with the cat box for 8 hours a day. I thought sharing a room with a cat box would be unbearable, but I've switched to Fresh Step, and sitting 10 ft away I don't smell anything offensive. Fifth, when using the lightweight litter my cat stopped burying his poop. I couldn't figure out why, but I am thinking it could be because of the odors inside the litter box even after scooping and wiping down the sides and stuck on bits with a baby wipe each day, sometimes twice a day. Before I switched to this lightweight litter, he never did that. Now that I am using Fresh Step, he seems to be burying his poop again, so I can't help but think the lightweight litter had something to do with it. I cannot in good conscience recommend this litter as it has no redeeming qualities. Sorry, Tidy Cats. This is a disaster. I will try Tidy Cats again, the regular weight clumping kind, but Walmart has a problem with keeping it in stock.

I’m getting older and to be honest the weight means everything! I can easily lift the jug AND it’s quality litter. I’m not getting lesser type litter both my cat and I like it. It may cost slightly more but I can handle it on my own which means everything!

It's wonderful to have a tidy cat litter that actually clumps so I can remove the pee pods from the litter boxes. The original heavy version had stopped doing that months ago. I'm totally satisfied with this lightweight version. It does track on the cats' feet but I'd prefer to sweep the floor more often than not be able to keep the litter boxes clean. It's nice that it's not as heavy and is low dust which is great for the cats and me.

The best so far. Easy clean up. Still lots of tracking. Can’t seem to get away from it. Smell is a little strong. My cats don’t seem to mind. It’s hard to explain. It’s so light that when the cats are trying to bury their feces it gets covered every time, unlike others when it starts clumping the cats can’t seem to get it completely covered. The odor is no longer an issue in my house.
