We have nine indoor only cats, ages 1 year to 14 years, and 11 litter boxes, so finding a litter they all like, and keeping my home clean, is quite a chore. Purina Tidy Cats Light Weight, Low Dust, Clumping Cat Litter keeps our home almost dust free and everyone likes that it is fragrance free. I love the convenience of the big box and that this litter is so light weight compared to to regular clay litter.

Excellent product. I have litter in a small area very close to my living room. I never smell it even if it is not cleaned for a couple days and I’m very sensitive to odours. Small clumps. Very light and sturdy container. I’ll never buy any other litter.

Love Tidy Cat. Originally the cats didn't seem to like the lightweight version over regular Tidy Cat. But, I stuck with is, since it makes such a huge difference for me when both buying and disposing of the used litter. Clumps well, little smell, and the difference in weight over the normal litter is astounding. It took a little trial and error; they would fling a good deal of this litter around since they were used to the heavier product. But, given several weeks, everyone in the household is happy, and having club size boxes at a great price and half the weight of regular litter is a blessing for this old body.

It was definitely light weight. as far as low dust, I'm not really sure because i never really got that close and personal with the litter box which is enclosed. it did not do much for the stank, but that could be because my daughter doesn't clean it frequent enough. It works for the cat poops.

I have found this to be the Best Cat Litter that I have used up until now. The ease with Which I can collect used Litter is the Best on the Market, and the container is very handy for the used litter to be stored away for disposal. Too bad it is SO expensive, though. That's my only "complaint".

I have nothing good to say about this cat litter...oh well, it is lightweight. I purchased this 17 lb pail in the store when the other Tidy Cats pail that I usually buy was out of stock, not once but twice (thanks Walmart). First, note that it costs about $6 more than the regular weight Tidy Cats. Second, with the cost in mind, you use it a lot more because it expands like a sponge. I have one 8 pound cat and I used this bucket in about 3 weeks after topping off the litter every 5-6 days or so. The regular weight pail of Tidy Cat litter easily lasted 6 weeks or more, so you are using twice as much with the lightweight litter. If you didn't do the math: 2 pails of lightweight Tidy Cats litter at $20.98 ($41.96 total) versus 1 pail of regular clumping Tidy Cats Litter at $14.64. That's a $27.32 savings for a 6 week period. Third, the litter is super sticky. The litter becomes very moist (think cooked oatmeal left in a pot overnight) and almost always sticks to the sides or bottom of the cat box, which takes a lot of scraping to remove. Also, stray bits of litter stick to my floor and I have to scrape it up because it won't come up with a broom or vacuum. I had to go over the floor with a mop twice with much effort to get the floor clean. I have a 3 x 5 rug under the litter box and I still get stray bits on the floor. Then, to top it off, when my cat was laying next to me on the bed, I saw large clumps of this litter stuck between the pads of his feet and claws. He must have been so uncomfortable, not to mention, yuck on my bed and furniture. Fourth, it doesn't control odor well. I could be in another room and smell cat urine even though I cleaned out the cat box a few hours before and added fresh litter. Unfortunately, I am working from home and sharing a room with the cat box for 8 hours a day. I thought sharing a room with a cat box would be unbearable, but I've switched to Fresh Step, and sitting 10 ft away I don't smell anything offensive. Fifth, when using the lightweight litter my cat stopped burying his poop. I couldn't figure out why, but I am thinking it could be because of the odors inside the litter box even after scooping and wiping down the sides and stuck on bits with a baby wipe each day, sometimes twice a day. Before I switched to this lightweight litter, he never did that. Now that I am using Fresh Step, he seems to be burying his poop again, so I can't help but think the lightweight litter had something to do with it. I cannot in good conscience recommend this litter as it has no redeeming qualities. Sorry, Tidy Cats. This is a disaster. I will try Tidy Cats again, the regular weight clumping kind, but Walmart has a problem with keeping it in stock.

I always bought the cheaper store brand product because the price was half the price. My cat has asthma and the dust from the store brand one would keep his lungs inflamed so I decided to pay the money and buy this product since it’s almost dust free. I’m so glad that I did! My cats asthma issues have drastically decreased and I was surprised that this lasted three times longer than the store brand one. You definitely get your money’s worth & a great product. I will never change my cats litter again!

I usually buy the lightweight, unscented version of Tidy Cat which I really like but ended up with this one when the store was out of stock of the other. I’ve used it once and the smell—of the clean litter—is so incredibly strong that you can smell it through the whole house. It gives me a headache several rooms away, so I can only imagine what it’s doing to my poor cat who actually has to use it. It’s unmistakably the smell of a scented cat litter, which no air freshener will cover, and I can’t imagine anyone wants their house to smell like that. To top it off, it’s one of the worst I’ve tried, clumping-wise.

I so prefer the pail container. Chewy no longer will ship this type of container. (box container, no handles.) Glad to see Walmart still carries this container type. The product Tidy cat, light, has been used for years in this household. Quite satisfied with product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find this to be convenient (less weight) for carrying and scooping, and often good odor control and clumping. I don’t notice a difference in dustiness. Unsure if this tracks more than regular tidy cat litter.
