As soon as we switched from (Regular) to the (Lightweight). Our cat completely stopped using the litter boxes and has starting using the floor. My cat is 8 and has never went outside the box until, we tried this litter. It is dust free but that doesn't matter is cat's won't use it.

The only complaint I have is this creates a layer of dust on furniture and my cat tracks it all over apartment. It’s unfortunate because it’s so lightweight and easy for me to lift. It clumps fine and my cat likes it. If I %26could figure out how to quell the dust and keep her from tracking it I’d continue buying it.

I’m new to cats in general, so I’m still discovering what litters I like. This is the 3rd litter I’ve tried, and probably the worst. Tracks SO BAD and the smell isn’t pleasant even after 1 day of fully changing it. I returned and exchanged for something better.

Not really sure if the lightweight aspect of this litter is why it doesn’t clump all of the liquid… when I change the litter box out, the bottom under the litter is still very much like wet sand… that is not good! Just scooping is not exactly easy with it this way!

This litter doesn’t work well at keeping down the odor. You have to clean the litter box 2-3 times a day at a minimum. Not worth the trade between weight and effectiveness. If you work long hours or are out for long periods, this isn’t the litter for you.

Litter is definitely easier to lift since they have made it light weight and works just as well as the heavier clumping litter. Only downside is the much higher price that makes it harder to afford for Seniors and women who do most of the litter box changes. Because of the price couldn't give it 5 stars.

This litter is definitely lightweight. It does clump and control odor. That's why I gave it 2 stars. However, it doesn't get 5 like other Purina Tidy Cat litter. When we tried this lightweight litter, we had problems with the litter sticking to our cat's paws. It stuck so much that large clumps were stuck in between our cat's toes. Since going back to the regular Tidy Cat we get, we no longer have this problem. We use the blue lid or the black lid which are also low dust. It must be something about the red lid lightweight version that caused the problem. I do not recommend this.

My cats paws turned blue because of the dye in this. There is also a lot of tracking with this litter too, and i worry about the amount of litter and dye that my cat is ingesting because of the amount that he will leave in my bed after going to the box. Only good thing is that it has very tight clumps and stops the smell of the waste well.

Although the lighter box is a huge plus for older folks who may not be as strong, the draw-back for me was that my cat was always kicking it out of the box all over the floor as she was covering her waste. Perhaps it would work well with a covered litter box (?)

This is different every time I order it. First couple of times it was white in color and did well keeping odor down. Since then when ordering supposedly the same exact thing it’s dark in color with I’m guessing charcoal and it doesn’t keep the odor down. I clean my litter boxes daily. It’s probably not Walmarts fault but Tidy Cat needs to get their act together and quit ruining the original product. They cheapen the quality and raise the price..
