I've been giving this a try even though it's much more expensive and I've found I'm not as happy as many other consumers here seem to be. First, it's clumping ability is far from perfected such as with the regular version and because of this, the cats drag it around the house and especially onto my bed (dark duvet). Given that, it smears on my duvet cover and looks like white chalking smears such as if it were wet and dried on the duvet. It also doesn't control smell like the regular version. Very unhappy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used the traditional Tidy Cat litter, but after trying the Tidy Cat Lightweight, I am switching. We are down to one cat in our household and he actually seems to prefer this from the old standard litter.

..........But NOT worth it! This stuff is so light that is sticks too easily to our cats paws and was the worst litter for tracking all over the house!! We tried it for a week and tossed it all out in the trash(even the 2nd container of new product).

While I love the reduced weight, I find that it doesn't clump hard like the regular litter. It clumps in huge sticky clumps tha are hard to get off edges of litter box when scooping. I won't buy it again until it clumps as well as the old. Keep working on it!

This is the worst litter I have ever used! It turns into glue that will not come out of the cat box. I even tried to power wash it out! My cat started to void outside of the box because she didn't like standing in the litter in the box because of the texture once she had used it. I went back to old faithful the classic Tidy Cat.

I bought this litter 2 weeks ago and didn't like it at all. It was dusty, and the litter got all over my house, I even have the litter catch mats and my cat still got the litter every where. It had a strong urine odor to it and I only have one cat. Even when you scooped the box it was still smelly. I made the mistake of buying the big box of litter. I used just one little box full and threw the stuff out.I love Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal so much more.

I have 3 cats, 4 litter boxes and we only use tidy cats! We've temporarily moved to a different city and are in a smaller apartment than we're use too. I wasn't so afraid my home was going to smell like litter box, but this litter is so great at masking any odors!

I thought this product would be a great idea. I have always used Tidy Cats litter, but I just bought the new light-weight product. I now find wet/dry paw prints with cat litter on my vinyl and hardwood floors that I have to use a wet rag to clean up. I never had this issue with the harder cat litter. Sure, I would find some pieces of cat litter on my floors with the regular Tidy Cats, right around the litter box, but easy enough to sweep up. The cost of this new litter is not worth the extra work to wipe up the paw prints in my house!

The light litter works as advertised but it has one major problem. It is so light weight the cat has a tendency to tip over the litter box making a huge mess. You might want to consider selling litter boxes with a weighted bottom. I don't have time to rig one for myself
