I admit that this product is very lightweight, but it doesn't work any better than any other clumping litter I have tried. What they don't tell you is that it has a very strong PERFUMY odor that smells up you whole house. If you have allergies to perfumes, as I do, you don't want this product in your house. I gave it one star because it is very lightweight.

Just changed the litter box yesterday with the new Light Weight Litter.  I'm headed back to the store today to purchase a different litter.  I have cat paw prints and litter tracked all over the wood floors and rugs.  I had to wash the cat's paws to get the litter stuck to his feet off.  This is the messiest litter I've ever purchased.

I recently purchased two 3.86kg canisters of the new Tidy Cats Lightweight litter. We have two cats and two litters...so I bought the '24/7 Performance' for one litter and the 'Instant Action' for the other one. I just wanted to see what the cats preferred. To my amazement, both cats were sneezing like crazy and neither of them wanted to go into the litter. One of them tried and sunk right in...probably because of the lightweight. I guess it felt like quicksand for her and she was soon out of there. The other one took a snif and did her poopoo outside the litter. This litter may be human friendly because of its lightweight and scent, but it sure didn't impress my two felines. On top of it, the ingredients states: Natural ground clay and 'deodorizing system'. Now what the heck does this 'deodorizing system' consists of? I threw the stuff out and went back to my President's Choice UNSCENTED clumping natural ground clay...which the cats love. It's heavy, cheaper and my cats purr. Purina needs to keep in mind that what may be a solution for humans, may not necessarily be best for our little furry loved ones. I started using this litter when I first got my kitten. So far, it has been great. Its a great price and very convenient to buy. I find myself changing the litter much less often and also hardly any odor from the litter box! I almost forget I have to clean the litter box sometimes. I will always use this litter and recommend it to anyone with cats.

Love the lightweight litter really great concept. But to say it is almost dust free is so wrong. Makes my apartment so dusty around the box area and I will be coughing while cleaning it out and for a while afterwards. The plume of dust that is visible while scooping is ridiculous. I have never had so much dust from any litter.

Thought I would give this a try, and I will never buy it again! Even with the mat in front of the box that traps excess litter, it sticks to their feet and it is tracked everywhere! On the floors, on the couch, the litter mat is constantly full. And it's so attractive having the couch constantly covered in litter! (it's really not) Also the clumps just fall apart when cleaning the box. It does keep the smell down though. Never again, it's disgusting.

I was happy to see a lightweight clumping product on the market, but this is a fail for our 2 cat household. The product clumps poorly and tracks everywhere. I have cat litter on all 3 flours of our home...and it's harmful to our hardwood floors to have this grit underfoot. We clean our litter regularly and this product doesn't do what it's supposed to with litter odour. If it is possible to make cat urine smell even worse, this product seems to do it. The fragrance is nice when you first pour it out of the container, but does little good. I still use another baking soda product over top. I am so disappointed. Will donate what I have left to the shelter. I've going back to my regular brand.

Extremely useful to have the lighter formula for people with arthritis and neuropathy it makes it less painful to carry and easier to pour. Plus the odor control is much better. But unfortunately I lost my last cat back in January, so I have no need for liter anymore. I wanted to give this review due to I highly recommend this formula.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super glad that I got this for my cat, ive been so battling to find a good litter, and i must say this one is definitely one of the best and makes cleaning the litter box way easier!!! It also has a very nice scent to it which is also a plus. I went back to the store and grabbed 2 more containers so my cat is stocked for a bit.

I have used this item 2 times, have found that it does NOT cover the smell of the urine, and there is only one cat. The urine smell is so strong, even in the waste scooped out of the box. I have not had that problem with the regular weight cat litter. I do not like the new stuff.
