[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tidy Cats 24/7 Performance Lightweight Litter was better than we'd even hoped. Kitty litter is usually so heavy and lugging the heavy container out to top up the cat's litter tray is such a pain. Although we have only been using the lightweight litter for a week, i no longer dread having to top up the litter pan!

My store had a BOGO on LightWeight litter so I decided to try it. It is too expensive at its regular price. I chose two different varieties. I was VERY disappointed. It clumps as well as regular Tidy Cats, and isn't dusty, but it doesn't control odor. I can smell urine odor from outside the bathroom, a problem I have never had with regular Tidy Cats or any other clumping litter. Even the LightWeight's strong fragrance does not cover up the urine odor. Tonight I poured half a box of baking soda into the litter box to solve the odor problem.

My 11 year old son has the litter box as one of his chores. When it's time to do a complete change of litter (not just scoop), the bag is too heavy and I end up doing it anyway. This makes it light enough that he can handle it without me. Score one for Mom!

Definitely being a frugal smart shopper I try out new products with my fur babies. It is convenient for a mature pet owners as the weight implies, yet my cat used it, therefore ok. Usually he sits outside the box until I change the liter if it disagrees with him.

The lightweight is great...but not worth the mess. We have tile floors & area rugs. I "feel" the litter everywhere in my socked or slippered feet. One cat, small house. This stuff must really cling to her feet. I am going to try to mix it with "regular" weight litter to use the rest of the large container. After just one day, there was at least a quarter cup of litter in front of her enclosed cat box. Awful. (as far as recommendation, I DO like Tidy Cats clumping litter- just not this new lightweight, at all.)

I have three cats and litter gets very heavy when wet. This light weight clumps exceedingly well even when one of my boys uses the same corner in the box. I'm a senior and appreciate the ease of tending to boxes. HOWEVER, it does not control urine odor as well as other Tidy Cat. It is about $4 per big container more expensive. Please comment, Tidy Cat.

This lightweight litter is amazing. I don't break my back scooping poop any more. It clumps better than the regular multi-cats. It didn't break off in chunks. Mostly 1 piece with a little stuck to the side. NO AMONIA SMELL WHEN SCOOPING!!!! Usually you still have to smell urine when scooping. Not with this. All I could smell was whatever fragrance they used. Give this one a try at least guys! I tried it once and won't buy anything else again.

I do not like this product at all!! It clumps good, but what does it matter when it does nothing for odors, and it is impossible to walk anywhere in the room without tracking it everywhere! The smell is hideous, I can hardly stand it. I usually try to get the good out of everything, but this is beyond the pale! I am actually going to throw this away and get my old brand back because I cannot stand the stench. I'm scared to death someone is going to come over and smell this awful stench before I have a chance to replace it!!!

[Employee of purina] I buy the giant warehouse-sized boxes(that's only 18 lbs), and I live on the 2nd floor. That is the first advantage. Then, as it turns out, scooping doesn't have to hurt! (My hands are a little arthritic). Easier to use, easier to scoop, still controls the smell. Win-win!

I bought this cat litter because of it being lightweight. I was very surprised when I looked on the container and it says 99.9% dust free. I have never bought another cat litter with this much dust. I have 4 cats and 2 litter boxes so they need to be cleaned constantly. There is so much dust when I clean these litter boxes that I need to wear a mask over my nose and mouth because of inhaling the dust. I will not buy this cat litter again.
