[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this product to see if it would reduce the weight of my kitty litter. With two growing cats, we produce a ton of waste. This has made trash bags rip in the past. I was very pleased after the first use to see the overall weight was nearly cut in half. I expected there to be a trade-off with the scent masking, but that was note the case. Excellent product. I will use again.

lightweight is great but way to dusty...made my cat sneeze everytime he got in the litter...way to expensive.......was hoping to use it cause I have to climb up 4 sets of stairs to my apartment.! Wish I could get a rebate for the money I wasted (fixed income leaves no room for waste)

A few months ago I switched to this product. Sometime after that switch our cat developed severe scratching and licking. The excessive licking resulted in bald spots. I've since learned this is called cat mowing. She was seen by the veterinarian in the initial thought was that this was fleas since this is the most common condition for these symptoms. Our cat is 10 years old and has never had this amount of a severe reaction to fleas before and yes she gets them all the time and yes she's always on revolution. A steroid shot stopped her itching and a three-month flea products only seem to work for one month. I now realize that that was the steroid wearing off. She is extremely itchy and cannot sit still in the evening and at bedtime. Scratching and licking is frantic and she will also run around. Then when she cuddles with us at night we started to get itchiness and a rash with hives followed by scabs. When I cuddle with her, I am getting hives round my neck and this has never happened before. So basically everyone in the household, me, my husband, and the cat developed an allergic reaction to the stuff. I will be clear that when I first got this product I would read it five stars. It's very lightweight and it comes wonderfully. No problems with the weight of it causing holes in my plastic bags. If you and your cat do not have an allergic reaction to this it is a good product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried Tidy Cats Lightweight 24/7 Performance litter. I LOVE how light the container is. Its easy to pour into the litter box, easy to put in shopping cart, just light! Its the same great performance as regular Tidy Cat litter.

Makes my life easy. Clumps after a few short moments, smells great, no kitties are sneezing from the aroma. I do spray it with Lysol in order to kill germs. I also use Arm and Hammer Litter deodorizer to kill odors. That helps the litter last a long time in the box.

The lightweight is great...but not worth the mess. We have tile floors & area rugs. I "feel" the litter everywhere in my socked or slippered feet. One cat, small house. This stuff must really cling to her feet. I am going to try to mix it with "regular" weight litter to use the rest of the large container. After just one day, there was at least a quarter cup of litter in front of her enclosed cat box. Awful. (as far as recommendation, I DO like Tidy Cats clumping litter- just not this new lightweight, at all.)

I was super excited to see this product and try it out, as I live in an upstairs apartment and the "lightweight" quality is a big plus. However, now that I've used it for over a week, I've soundly decided that as soon as I go to the store and purchase some of the old Tidy Cats formula, this stuff is going straight into the trash. Pouring the litter into the box created a virtual smoke screen of litter dust, which is similarly kicked up every time it is scooped. Likewise, my cat no longer smells like...well, cat...she smells like Tidy Cats Litter ALL THE TIME. Seeing how much of a dust cloud it creates when I scoop it, I can only imagine the dust storm when my cat uses the litter. And, frankly, the thought of all that overly perfumed dust being inhaled by her (and not to mention me) really bothers me. That and the last thing I want to smell every time I pick up my cat is her litter. That dust clings to her and everything else in a three foot radius around the litter box.

I purchased this a while ago to test it out. I was skeptical of the "lightness" of it until I picked the giant bottle up and I almost threw it. It is supremely light, though not as light as the commercial makes it seem (of course). The only downside for me is that I have a long haired cat (Himalayan) and the smell of the litter always seems to stick with her.

I bought 3 jugs of Tidy Cats LightWeight cat litter with high hopes, but I've been let down. I usually vacuum the house once or twice a week, but this litter requires daily vacuuming. Within a few hours of vacuuming there's a trail of litter from the guest restroom through the house. Unfortunately, this includes litter on and in the bed that is on the entire other side of the house. There is also no odor control, and you will notice when the cats use the litter box. I threw in the towel and went back to a heavy litter, I'm completely disappointed in what seemed to be a great product. 

I bought this yesterday after looking at reviews in a couple of places. I liked that it is lightweight, however it is NOT dust free. It also is all over my house because it sticks to my cats paws. I have a mat in front of the litterbox that normally does a decent job. I realize that this will always be a little it of a challenge. But it looks (and feels!) like I just scattered it around the house. To compare: I have been using Arm N Hammer lightweight and did not have near the issue with the tracking.
