We switched slowly adding it to the old scoop litter a little at a time. After about a week our cat started crying and pacing a lot. I must say here that she is very vocal all the time so extra meowing isn't unusual. The difference was that the meows turned to howling while she paced. We already hated that we had litter every where in the house with this product. Finally, I saw her in action when she needed to go. Jumping in and out of the box just howling, pacing back and forth, until she had to just go. Feel so bad we put her through this. She also developed an eye irritation during this time we now connect to the light weight litter dust.

I fell in love with Tidy Cats Lightweight litter immediately as I could pick up the container with one hand! I poured this right into my kitties' litter box effortlessly. There was no dust and I did not have to hold my breath. My kitty investigated immediately and did her thing, and exited the litter box with no trail of litter. She dug around quite a bit and there was no dust cloud above her as she did her thing. I think she likes it!! What I loved about this litter the most was that it came in a plastic jug, and was re-closeable. I could pick it up one handed. There was NO dust and no mess. My kitty was happy. So that made me happy.

I can't get over how good it holds down the odor. I had to leave town for a week and I was in a hurry so I didn't change litter. Upon my return home from a horrible week and picking up my kittens at the cat sitter I realized I hadn't changed litter but you couldn't believe it because there was no offensive lingering odor. I was very impressed.

Others have said that this litter tracks - I have 4 littler boxes and believe me it doesn't track any more that the other litters. I've also noticed less dust than other brands. Expensive - you bet - worth every penny if you are 73 years old and have a bad back.

I never thought i would think of cat littler when i thought of "innovative" but i just want to give some positive feedback to your product developers. you read my mind! i have been wanting a lighter litter and i dread having to carry it back from the store. this was perfect- easy to carry, smells wonderful, no sig difference from the heavier litter i was using before. thanks for fixing a feature that actually matters- weight!

[Employee of purina] My cat refused to use the liter box when I started using the Purina Tidy Cats Light Weight product and started to urinate all over the floor. I went back to using the usual clumping cat liter and she has resumed using the liter box. Please discontinue this terrible product. I have heard from others with similar results.

This product works fairly well at controlling odor (not as well as Maxx Scoop). It is easy to carry. However, because of its lightweight formula, my cats track it all over the house. Even the cat mats outside their litter boxes don't catch it. I'm constantly finding it on furniture, and I am having to sweep multiple times a day.

Three problems. 1. Dusty. My garage is covered in white dust from this little. Cleaning the cat box produces a cloud. 2. Cats track the little trough the house. The light litter sticks to their paws. Even the far end of the second floor has cat litter pieces. 3. With 2 cat boxes, the cats prefer the other litter. Nothing to recommend it. We're continuing to try other litters.

I'm very disappointed with this cat litter. It is not as absorbent as what I had been using. It's sticking to my cat's fur and their paws and they have tracked it all through the house. I have four Persian cats who have flat faces. This litter was making them sneeze and their eyes water to the point where I had to throw it out and go back to the unscented Tidy Cat litter that I had been using. Also it's much easier to pour litter from a jug than it is to pour it from this plastic bag that has no handle or spout to direct the flow.
