I bought this about a month ago and was so excited because of the weight. I liked it when I first poured it in the pan and noticed it didn't have the dust. I have 3 litter pans for 2 cats and I scoop them out daily. I was really disappointed that the litter didn't keep the odor down. I sure hope this gets improved, so I can buy it again.

I like the idea of lighter weight littler and this product works very well with one exception. It tracks all over the house because it sticks to my cat's paws. I keep a broom and dust pan next to the litter box so I can clean up after the cat uses it. I wishit wasn't so messy.

I was excited to try this litter because of its lightweight feature getting traditional litter home is always a difficult process. It is very lightweight, but that's where the positives stoped for me. It has a very strong perfume scent that lingers on my cat's paws. I live in an apartment and even with a covered box I can smell it in every room. It is also very sticky, I had to replace my scoop because it was so sticky I couldn't clean it. It also sticks to my cat's paws and he's chewing it off. I've decided that's not likely safe so will be emptying the box and using potting soil until I can replace it with his old litter tomorrow.

The fact that this litter is lightweight is great. Both my wife and my daughter can pick up a big bucket and pour it into the litter box. We also found that it handles odor well is great, too. However, that's there "Happily Ever After" ends because beyond that it's a nightmare. The dust alone is horrible which isn't good for asthmatic people like my wife. We can dust the rooms adjacent to the litter boxes (never mind the rooms that have the littler boxes) and within a day it looks like we never dusted at all. I have a constant buildup of dust in my computer and keyboatd and when I walk barefoot in the house my feet get horribly dry. But wait, there's more! Not only is the dust bad but the tracking is horrible as well. This stuff gets everywhere and it's hard to keep up with. Great concept trying to reduce the weight of the litter, but in the end, I'd rather have a heavy litter container that doesn't track or get dusty than a lightweight container that is dusty and tracks so much.

I am cat sitting 2 cats at my house & I have a bad back. So carrying litter upstairs is a real problem. I bought this litter so I could lift it. The 2 visiting cats are happy campers and I can carry the container upstairs. And it does it's job. Win/Win. It is a little pricey, though, but my back is worth it.

I really like the lighter litter, I've been using Tidy Cat for 20 years and groan when I have to pick up a new container. This really helps. Two issues though; - It's a bit more dusty than regular T.C. - Since it's lighter my cat is tracking it around the house more, much more stray litter ending up on my couch for example. Good, but still work to be done.

This Litter is great as far as the weight, I even like that it is lightly scented. BUT, This stuff does not perform like the original. The Urine goes to the bottom of the litter box and sticks to it. It also sticks to cats paws and gets tracked all over. Switching back. Not happy at all after buying 2 jugs of this stuff!

I thought this would be a great product, loved the lighter weight when toting it. The downside is even with mats under all our litter boxes (we have three) more litter seems to travel than ever did before. It is also way easier to flip out of the box, so we are back to our traditional (multiple cat) Tidy Cat- which has always been our cats favorite litter.

This stuff is great if you are really bothered by how heavy kitty litter is, when you are carrying it home from the store. However, once you get it home, it is the difference between putting fish tank gravel (traditional litter) or styrofoam packing peanuts (this stuff) in your cat's poopy box. These light weight pellets will be found in places farther from the cat box than you have ever had litter tracked before... in different rooms of the house, on your bathmat, under the covers in your bed, on your pillow, on the kitchen counter, and I guarantee that if you check your cat, you will find some between toes and probably clinging to butt fur. If waking up with kitty litter in your hair, or brushing kitty litter off your kitchen counter while you make a salad, is okay with you... then by all means, enjoy Tidy Cats Light Weight. Otherwise, NOPE.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this recently by UPS and so glad! My cat Winnie is very funny when it comes to litter. Was using another litter, she'd kick it up like a horse, then you hear the litter hitting the side of the box. Yes, she has big long feet. When I put this litter on top of another litter for a whole month had no problems. No scratches on floor, or dents, and also does not get caught in between her toes like other litter, since she wipes her feet on her rug after exiting her box. There was no great overpowering scent, to me, it was very faint maybe my smell scale is off balance in any event, Tidy Cat is exceptional. That is why it's called Tidy Cat because if keeps cat boxes tidy.
