This product is a terrible conception. Maybe a good idea at the time, but in the end, it literally "stinks to high heaven"! We bought the huge club size at Sams Club, because the lady pushing was all cute and made up like a cat. She raved about how wonderful it was, mainly because of the Light Weight. Well to make up for the lightness, apparently the creators must have not tested this product at all! We have two elderly cats who are very tidy and don't really fling the litter everywhere, plus they also always use the box. Long story short, we left a clean and properly filled, extra big box for them on a Friday. We went out of town and returned on Sunday. When we walked in the back door, the smell just about knocked us down. It smelled like they had peed and pooped all over the house! And litter was all over the laundry room. Our house literally smelled like something you'd expect from a "cat lady" house. We were tired and did not throw it out right away. Later that night I woke up and thought I was going to be sick. My husband got up and dumped the box. He then tried to wash out what was left in the bottom, he had to use the shovel and scrape out what he said was "wallpaper paste". We had a container of Tidy Cats for Multiple Cats in the RV and switched back to it. No odor. We are going to just use the remainder, which is a LOT for ashtray cans we use while camping. This product needs to be pulled and redone, or you won't be selling very much at all.

With lighter weight I think with that you give up performance. It doesn't clump and it becomes odiferous very quickly. I scooping daily and replace every 4-5 days usually (2 cats). I went to replacement every 3 days and it still smells. Seeking a better light weight product.

I bought this because it was supposed to be dust free. After cleaning my boxes tonight I am switching! It was ridiculously dusty in that room, I was coughing like crazy. I can also smell it on my cats when they climb on me. I will be switching back to my previous litter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tidy cats products are always on sale and you can usually find coupons for them. Tidy Cats Lightweight is really light but does the same job as the heavier products. It is much easier to get jug in car and home.

I decided to try this in a multicat household-I love it~so easy to scoop much better than digging thru the other litter my mother in law is 83 and she has a hard time scooping other litter but this makes it so easy for her to do. the only problem is the cost--with a multicat house it will be very expensive for us to buy

I have used Tidy Cats Multi Liter for a very long time - Being over 70 with 2 cats and lots of liter to buy - Thought I'd give the LightWeight a try even though it was more expensive than the others. I will never go back - so much easier to clean, my cats love it.

I am surprised at all the positive comments. It was on the basis of those comments that I bought this product. The only thing I like about it is that it's lightweight. Otherwise, I find it very dusty and it does NOT make hard clumps, making it difficult to remove liquid wastes. Nor does it do much for odor control. I don't like this product and won't buy it again.

My 2 cats have been using this for 1 day the litter tracks everywhere. Even after walking 30 feet to my bedroom granules of litter were still dropping from my cat's paws when he jumped on the bed. My cats are short hairs and do not kick litter out of the oversized litter box. I have swept up the litter twice, I would rather lift something a bit heavier than spend so much time with a broom in my hand.

I'm a fan of Tidy Cats, just not this lightweight version.This litter tracks everywhere!!!  There is more all over the house than in the litter box.  It gets a weird clay residue when it gets wet that sticks to my cat's paws.  He then tracks clay paw prints all over the house.  Never again

I purchased this because living on the second floor and carrying cat litter was hard on my knees. I tried this thinking it was going to be the best, but boy was I wrong. I have dust all over my house and my poor cat has it in her nose, not to mention that it gets stuck in her fur and paws making an even bigger mess. I am very disappointed that more testing was not done on this product before it was put on the market. I guess they hoped that the lightweight perk would pull people in and unfortunately, I feel as if I was suckered into buying a product that makes a bigger mess than what it is worth.
