Due to untimely back surgery that limited what I could lift, and a need to fill a litter box, I grabbed a jug of this. I have two cats and two litter boxes(they do #1 and #2 in separate boxes for some reason). The #1 box was filled with this lightweight litter, and I was dubious because one cat is picky. Works like a charm! Yes, the smell from the fresh litter is a bit much, but it fades. And it controls odors. I still use the regular clumping litter for my #2 box because my cats get a little carried away when 'hiding the evidence' and all the lightweight litter was flung about the room.

I have had cats for most of my life (28 years). When I got older, I would go to the store and have to purchase liter. Everytime, I would need help because I wanted the larger bags/pails but because they weighed so much, I could barely lift them. Now that tidy cats has created this lightweight version of cat liter, I can lift without any problem. The liter is still just as effective as regular, heavy liter!

I bought this litter a few months ago and love how it clumps and it is very light weight! A big + in our house! However, we usually use unscented litter, as recommended by our veterinarians. The perfume smell from this litter is overwhelming! As soon as you walked into our house, al you could small was cats litter! We use most everthing in our home scent free due to perfume allergies. When you make this lightweight litter in a scent free formula, it will be the only litter we buy! Also we put 2 boxes side by side and used this litter in one, and a scent free scoopable litter in the other. Our cats did use it, but prefered the scentfree litter. I really love the lightweight of this litter. Please make a formula with no scent!

This litter is probably the worst that I have ever used. My cats HATE it and I hate it even more. It doesn’t clump and sticks to my cats paws, leading to a house full of loose litter everywhere. It’s in my bed, it’s stuck in my maincoon’s fur and it’s disgusting. Please do not buy this litter. What a waste of money.

Tidy Cats litter used to work great with my older cat, but the only product that works somewhat with my young cat is the ammonia blocker. But, it's so fine that I lose more of the litter scooping because more sticks together. I have to scrub her box every 5 days n throw out all the litter.

The worst clumping litter I have ever wasted money on. Does not form tight clumps, and tracks all over my house. Even with an extra large litter catching mat in front of the box. The only positive thing about this litter is it is considerably lighter than others. Every other aspect is absolute garbage, even the scent is terrible.

I am a cat breeder and have used almost all of the different litters on the market. I have been using Tidy cat solely for the past 6 years. I was a little spectacle about trying the new tidy cat lightweight, so I used the 7/24 tidy cat up against the new Tidy cat lightweight litter ... After two days.. I have decided that I will be changing to the Tidy cat lightweight. It last longer and uses less litter than the regular tidy cat 7/24 litter.

I have 6 cats and am constantly trying to avoid having my house smell like I have six cats. ;-) I already use the Tidy Cat brand because it is the best but this made the litter situation even better by helping to reduce the smell in the home. This lightweight litter is amazing. I don't break my back scooping poop any more. It clumps better than the regular multi-cats. It didn't break off in chunks. Mostly 1 piece with a little stuck to the side. NO AMONIA SMELL WHEN SCOOPING!!!! Usually you still have to smell urine when scooping. Not with this. All I could smell was whatever fragrance they used. Give this one a try at least guys! I tried it once and won't buy anything else again.

About half way thru the first pail of the new Lightweight litter, I'm finding this litter gets kicked out of the box much easier than the old stuff, spreading litter everywhere. Also, when sweeping it up, the litter leaves "dust" and dust streakes on the floor.
