The perks about the lightweight kitty litters is primary its easy way in lifting the container and cleaning the kitty litter. It is definitely lightweight and even the kitty's business is easier to remove from the box. However, the cons are there is a powdery residue on my cat's paws that tracks throughout the the house, and his paws smells of feces. I have to constantly wipe his paws, which takes me back in cleaning behind a toddler. I think Purina has a great idea with the lightweight feature, but it is extremely messy.

yes its lightweight to carry and scoops great..BUT,,so lighweight,,kittys scatter it all over when covering up with it..Almost as much litter on floor as box..I know all litter scatters some,but this is unreal..I sweep and mop around box several times a day,and wipe my foot on mop to remove crunch litter residue... I will use it up ,but buy no more

I used to really like this product. Now its "improved" and uses a plastic bag in there. At least with the old design I was able to just pour it into the litter boxes. Now I have to use a scoop because it's so awkward to pour it in now. Whoever designed the new packaging managed to make it worse. Also, now with the new top, I'll need to have something on top because I don't want my cats to get into the box. At least with the old packaging that wasn't an issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got Purina Tidy Cats 24/7 performance light weight cat litter and put it to the test. It has been in the litter box two weeks and scooping out as needed. There is no dust when going threw the scoop! No horrendous odor when scooping.There has been no hint of ammonia in my house. You cant tell the room the litter box is in. I am so happy!

I love how light this is! But....I won't be using it anymore because we have switched over to the Breeze system/Litter box. Bye Bye, sand and messy floors from kitty litter. After many, many years of cleaning litter boxes and sweeping litter off of my floors, it is SO nice to not have to do that anymore!!! Try it!

I have bad arthritis and this lighter weight makes a difference for me. I can carry this container much easier than other brands. I have two female cats and they like this litter. There was no issue when I changed and the formula works well for two cats.

I’m so disappointed and annoyed. It’s so lightweight that my cats have knocked the litter boxes over multiple times dumping the used all over the floor. I’m now heading to a convenience store to buy cheap kitty litter just to weigh it down enough so they knock them over again during the night.

tried the product and yep it it light weight. But I wont use it until they come out with fragrance free. Not all cats like fragrance and if you have allergies you cant clean the box. My cat wont use it and now goes on the rug...so back to fragrance free.....

thanks so much for the free sample of your newest product. i loved this new tidy cat lightweight. i am disabled and sometimes it is very hard to lift the heavy containers of tidy cat. this was so easy to lift and pour the litter. love your product awesome.

I found out about this litter from a customer at the pet store. I ordered for my 83 year old mom that has several cats. She told me it is very easy to scoop. She loves it. I gave it 4 stares because of the price. 8.5 lbs. for almost $13.00 ! I use to send her 32lbs for $12.00 but the box is very heavy and she had a hard time scooping it.
