We started useing this product about a month ago, we have 3 cats we love it dont understand some reviews but Im glad it works for us.. NO-MORE WET MUSH on the bottom of the pans ,clumps dont break up. controls the order the same has others but for us the main factor is dust ..dont seem to find it all over the furniture.which is a plus and less dust for the kitties also..I will keep using this till something else that is better comes alone..

1) the chalky bits are so lightweight, they will cling to the fine tail hairs of our long haired cat = brickles of the stuff all over the house 2) the chalky bits break too easily if on the floor, leaving powdery mess. harder older formula was more easily picked up 3) new lightweight formula does not work as well w/ odor control or dryness factor. our specs: we have 2 cats, 2 boxes, which are cleaned daily i do hope the original formula will continue to be produced. this new formula is not up to older quality and effectiveness. thanks!

It actually neutralize odor. The reason I rate it so low is that the litter stays stuck in between my cat's paw cusions and clumps there (imagine having gum in your hair but worst). It becomes fused with her fure and has to be pulled. Naturally your cat will groom it self, and you don't want them to ingest this (I READ THIS CAN BE TOXIC). Second, as another review mentions, you can't keep your house clean with this product, as the litter flies all around when your cat tries to cover its droppings. You will find the litter all around your house.

I really like the lightweight aspect of this litter. Odor control is good too, and it is dust free (as compared to the other litter I use). What I don't like is how it sticks to my cat's paws and is tracked all over the house. I won't buy it again because of this.

I bought this product 6 weeks ago and was not happy and continued thinking maybe it would get better but nope required more work on my part. I had to vacuum and wash the whole area where cats walked every time one of them left the litter box and the dust was ridiculous.

I see a lot of negative reviews, but I like this litter and don't plan on buying anything else from here on. Not only is it light when lifting and carrying but it is real light when you scoop it, so it makes the scoop just glide through it. That is hard to explain but it is a different texture. I don't know about odor control because I keep my boxes scooped out at least 2x a day with a window open in the cat room, so I don't really have an odor issue. It is dusty when you pour it, but I have yet to find a litter that isn't. I don't notice any more tracking than usual. I keep big litter mats all around the boxes (I have 3 cats) and that seems to contain it well enough. The reason I did not give 5 stars is because it is expensive. I am willing to pay more for the convenience of being able to carry it easily (and it makes it so much easier to take the old used litter to the trash when you dump the box and wash it out) but if someone comes up with the same formula at a lower price, I will try it.

Works GREAT, forms tight clumps, cleans up VERY well, easy to scoop, stays clean week after week. HOWEVER, it is expensive, very dusty, & highly perfumed. First bought it on sale in the 17 pound can, now I can't find it in that size, and the little jugs are the same price as the big can was ! (Bait & switch.)

I have between 20 and 30 cats.I live on 66 acres and I have been adopted.I have two indoor all the time and the balance live on my covered porch in the winter time and on the premises during the warm season.I have arthritis and the light weight is a joint saver.The product performs exceptionally well on odor control with all these cats in a confined space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used the traditional Tidy Cat litter, but after trying the Tidy Cat Lightweight, I am switching. We are down to one cat in our household and he actually seems to prefer this from the old standard litter.

I was excited to see the TV ad as I have lifting limitations. I got to the store and same size jug as heavy was double the price.  Why improve a product and charge twice as much when it is still litter/dirt?  I give a 3 star based on price.  If it was the same price as the heavy it would be a 5, I'm pretty sure.  I found another brand at a standard price for their new light version.  I buy in bulk having several cats and price is key and hope that all litter goes to light version.  It's a no brainer to use light if you can so one does not end up with injuries.
