[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this Tidycats Lightweight litter is fine if you want the ease of lifting light litter. But it also is horrible at tracking! Because it is light the dusty stuff is everywhere and my 2 cats tracked it everywhere too! I don't like it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried Purina Tidy Cats LightWeight, Low Dust, Clumping Cat Litter Odor Control 24/7 Performance Multi Cat Litter, hoping it would make litter maintenance easier. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.Despite claims of being low dust, I found this litter to be quite dusty. Each time I poured or scooped, a noticeable cloud of dust emerged, settling on nearby surfaces and making cleaning more burdensome. The lightweight nature of this litter led to significant tracking. I discovered particles far beyond the litter box area, requiring frequent sweeping and vacuuming. This was particularly frustrating, as it negated the convenience I was seeking. I noticed that unpleasant smells lingered despite regular scooping. The litter's scent itself was also quite strong and not particularly pleasant. The clumping performance was inconsistent. Some clumps formed adequately, while others disintegrated upon scooping.

I use Tidy Cats anyway, but I wanted to try the light weight. My cat didn't seem to notice anything (she is very picky and will go on the floor next to her box if she doesnt like whats in the box.) But she has done great with it. You definitely have a customer for the light weight.

I was really excited about having a light weight litter. It worked well, was easy to scoop, however gets stuck in the cats fur. We have Maine Coon cats, so long haired, and I did find litter on them and noticed litter around the house which has not happened in the past. I will continue to use Tidy Cat but not the Light Weight kind for now. Thanks!

I've been using Tidy Cat products for 30+ years. This lightweight formula has a horrible fragrance that can be smelled throughout home; poor odor control; product is truly lightweight but that has resulted in the ease of the my cats to track litter all over the house. I will not purchase again.

I have five cats and two litter boxes. My husband cleans them because I cannot stay bent over long enough to do it. He only cleans them once each week and, when he cleans them, he just dumps out the litter and refills them. We use three different types of litter, this stuff, the blue desiccant pearls, and arm and hammer clump & seal light-weight multi-cat. This stuff doesn't have a funky smell and my cats don'g seem to have an issue with this litter. I'd like to clean them more often because, around the end of the week they start to get a little funky, and if this stuff actually meets the 99% dust free claim, then 1% of dust is a huge amount, because it goes everywhere. Finally, this stuff tracks all over the place... I've found outside the litter box on the floor, in and on the couch in the living room....

I was thrilled when I purchased my 1st container, and have been thrilled ever since. I can place the containers into the trunk of my car with ease. The surprise I got was when I changed the litter boxes, and was able to walk the trash bags out to the bin without any trouble at all. Hope you keep this forever!

I have to carry groceries and other miscellaneous items up several flights of stairs multiple times monthly. This Lightweight cat litter really helps in easing the carry load. Not only that but this litter functions very well for my adult cat. Highly recommend!

I wanted so much to love this; I hate it! The lighter weight is SO much easier to handle getting out of the store and into the house, but once in the litter box it is SO lightweight that a lot of it leaves the box on the feet of the cats... and keeps going all over the room. Even sweeping is difficult; it's just too light to easily get into a pile. If you are lucky enough to have a Roomba, MAYBE you could keep it from infiltrating your house but I wouldn't count on it.

i  like the klitter and the lightweigtness of it, makes it easier for me to carry around.  But the absorption smell doesn't really exist.  I have 1 cat and when he uses to box I have to go immediatley and scoop the poop or the urine clumps,out because if I don't its gonna stink
