We bought this and shortly hatter using it we not only had litter being tracked everywhere, there were also little paw prints all over the carpet and it was sticking to our cats feet!  This stuff tracks like crazy, is dusty so your cat will leave footprints, and it was sticking to my cat's legs and underbelly.  Will probably put the remainder in my trunk and use it if I get stuck in the snow this winter...

Although the lighter weight convinced me to try the product, I am NOT happy with its performance and will not buy it again. It tracks through the house more and does not clump quickly enough. Consequently, my cat steps in wet litter just trying to get out of the box. This causes gooey clumps of soiled litter to stick to her feet. Then she shakes her feet to get the goo off and sends bits of urine soaked goo flying everywhere. These stick wherever they land, all over the wall and curtains, and it takes hours of time and effort to clean up the mess! I never had these problems with the traditional Tidy Cats clumping litter. For me, the lighter weight litter makes my life harder, not easier so it is not worth it.

Tidy Cat had sent me a sample bottle of this litter (regular size) and I thought my only complaint was how the cats paws sank down to the bottom of the pan with this stuff. A month or so down the line we decided to try another bottle of it. I can smell it's fragrance all throughout the house and I'm hating it. I think I'm going to put some vinegar in a spray bottle and see if I can neutralize the scent a little. I prefer this litter with the Litter Genie because the regular stuff is so dense and heavy, but I just can't tolerate the smell. • They say the 8.5lb = a regular 20lb but they charge far more for the lightweight. • I didn't find the dust to be a problem. • It seems to last a good while. I want $15 to last closer to a month, not just two weeks (8.5lb) • I guess I'll be sticking with Tidy Cat Scoop (blue label) (20lb 2/$16 Petco) even though it weighs a ton

I have been using this product for some time. At first, the lightweight part drew me in because I am tired of lugging huge containers of litter up the stairs in our condo. But when I put it in the litter box, I was absolutely amazed how easy it is to scoop the litter. Being lightweight, one doesn't have to dig hard to scoop it. The scooper glides easily threw the litter picking up the clumps quickly and easily. There is none of that stinky urine gunk that tends to sit on the bottom of the box and is impossible to scoop. But that's just MY opinion. When I asked our 3 kitties how they like the litter, I got "high paws" from all of them. Thank you so much for making my job (and the kitties) so much easier.

I have used Tidy Cats regular along with other name brands over the years. I decided to try the new Tidy Cats Lightweight about a month ago. All kitty litter tracks but this is MUCH worse than regular clumping litter. It seems to stick to my cats paws & they have gotten it all over the house...all the way up from our basement ...up carpeted steps! It is in our beds, on my furniture, all over our floors. I like that it is lightweight but I can't stand this mess. I will not buy this again.

After years of constantly having to clean dust off of everything in the litter area, I found Tidy Cats, 24/7 LightWeight! No more strained muscles lugging this stuff around, a snap to scoop out daily and the price is right! I worried for a long time that a 'lightweight' product could actually perform as well as the "old type"- -but it truly does! The cats have no problems in using it, so everybody is happy! I wish I had purchased it sooner but I'll never go back to the "old stuff"!!!!

I usually use Tidy cat Clumping liter for my 2 cats. My wife doesn't like changing the liter because she says the container is too heavy for her. We tried the lighter weight container and found that the liter worked just as good as the heavy container. It really is a back saver

I bought this a few weeks ago just to give it a try other than it being light weight I've been very disappointed as his litter begins to smell if I don't clean it literally every other day. The smell permeates throughout my house. I've never had this issue with his other litters. I won't be buying again :-(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love using this cat litter for my two cats. I don’t like the scented kind. I think that is bad for cats however, this is unscented lightweight, which is easier on me. It’s also good for the cats because it is less tracking cat litter throughout the house.

For a company that makes pet products, you should realize that a lot of cats won't use a scented litter. My cat used it and it clumped real great but the scent is way too strong. I could smell it as soon as I came inside my apartment. Would love for you to make an unscented version as the light weight is great. That would make it an awesome product.
