[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm excited to see how this all works out. I did the test area and then 24 hrs later I used the silk-expert on my lower legs. It was super easy to use and I did not feel a lot of pain. I know that other areas may be more sensitive, but I'm going to see how my legs work out first. The only complaint that I have is that the instruction booklet is a little hard to follow. I remember reading through bzzagent that I should not use the silk-expert more than once a week on a single location, but the instruction booklet does not say this. If once a week is a requirement, that should be clearly stated in the instruction booklet.

I was a little nervous about trying it, and I wanted to be sure I understood. The package inserts made it very clear how to proceed. I followed the directions to do a small sensitivity test and it all went well. I was surprised by the feeling initially. It was a small jolt of heat that surprised me, but certainly didn't hurt in any way. I had no adverse effect from the sensitivity test, so I went forward with doing my entire leg the next day. It took awhile, but not an outrageous amount of time. I have been using the IPL every week as directed in the package insert and have noticed that the hair growth on my legs has been much less than before.

I always wanted something like this but looking at the price I use to suppress my wish and here I am getting it free for my genuine opinion after trying it. The instructions are very clear plus they have provided a small video to check before using the product. It's no rocket science, it's very simple to use. I tried it on a small part as instructed to check how my skin reacts, it felt like a rubber band snap. The pain didn't stay at all, in fact, I had no redness, pain, itchiness or anything! As it will take 4-6 weeks to show full results but so far I am very happy with product and I wish after stated period I don't need to shave or wax the treated areas. I am so glad I got selected for this campaign and got the opportunity to try the product. I would definatley recommend this product to my family and friends.

Presentation and packaging was beautiful! Excited to give it a go upon arrival! Used today for the first time on my legs, underarms, and bikini line. I used normal strength on legs and the gentle cycle on my underarms, and bikini line. Very easy to use! There was a slight warm feeling, but not uncomfortable . I also wore my sunglasses, as the pulseing light was bright. I may invest in darker protection sun glasses. Over all- quick and easy! Looking forward to seeing results!!

I have used this specifically for my legs but will be using it for other areas after my leg treatments are finished. This product is so easy to use and you can't mess up. I have noticed less and less hair growth over the last few weeks and have found that instead of shaving my legs every 2 days, I have now begun to only shave my legs once a week, the day I use this machine. And when I do shave on the one day a week, I am not even sure I need to do it then, but you are supposed to shave before using so I just do. It is going to be a great summer with low maintenance hair-free legs. Next up....armpits!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the Gillete Venus Silk-expert powered by Braun for free from Braun in return for my honest feedback. I received the box and immediately opened it to see what I was dealing with. The unit was a little larger than I expected, but I can hold and grip it comfortably. It isn't very heavy, so I can easily hold it for an entire treatment. The instructions were pretty easy to follow and after shaving a test patch area ( I did right above my ankle on the inside of my leg), I powered it up. It was ready to go pretty much immediately, and as I put the treatment part up to my leg as the machine selected the max level because of my light skin tone and dark hair. I figured I would start with what was sure to be the most painful setting and adjust from there. It surprisingly wasn't painful, except for a very small sting that went away pretty much immediately. I did professional hair removal many years ago, and the sting with this unit was nowhere close to my experience years ago. I think the aging is the strongest where there may be more hair that wasn't shaved as well or when you are in a more bony area. After the treatment, there was no redness or any sign that I had treated it. Looking forward to see how this works after weekly treatments!!

This has been very easy to use. The cord could be a bit longer or have a rechargeable battery. Having things plugged in the bathroom can be a hard. I have not seen any noticeable difference yet but I have only started using it. I'm excited to see if it will help my bikini lines and underarms. So far so good. It doesn't add a lot of time to getting ready as it's only once a week.

I used this product twice on my leg so far. One time each week since I got it. Even though it's only been 2 weeks I do noticed a difference in my hair growth. The hair coming out of the leg is growing slightly slower than normal and less thick. I did not feel any pinch or any discomfort while using the laser. Because the laser is small it took a while to go over my whole leg. But overall, I'm pretty happy with this product. And I can't wait for the long term results of using it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really don't like shaving my legs. My hair grows quickly. It's dark. It's noticeable. I get razor burn on my bikini line. I received a complementary Gillette Venus Silk-Expert from Braun. The package contained the one Gillette Venus razor and one hair removal device. I typically use a Venus razor, but this one seemed to be “less fancy” than the version I use. I have never used an IPL device and I felt like the instructions weren't really clear. I typically do a treatment after I shower and shave. After plugging in the device you can hear a fan and see a light emitting. To use the IPL on my legs I'll hold the button down and just move it a few inches after the light emits. It does give you a little zap. It doesn't necessarily hurt, but it doesn't feel great, either. It takes me about 15 minutes to use the IPL on my legs, bikini line and underarms. I've been using the product for about 7 weeks now. I definitely notice my leg hair is growing in at a slower pace – and it is noticeably more sparse. One of the best changes is I do not seem to get ingrown hairs or razor burn on my bikini line now – yay! I am very excited about this product and am very happy with the results. I think this is a great option, especially for people with dark hair!

The Gillette Venus Silk Expert has a sleek look, great weight and no buzz. The weight is perfect which really helps when you're maneuvering around beautiful curves. It's ready right out of the box. A few minutes reading the instructions and you are good to go. The treatment does have a slight sting but it's not bad unless you mistakenly treat the same area twice. About 5-10 minutes and you're done. No major results yet but I've only been using it for 4 weeks. I can't wait to see the results at the end of 12.
