The Silk-expert was really easy to use. I read the instruction manual, plugged it in, and did a test patch on my leg. On my first try, I guess I left it in place a little long (2 pulses) and it was REALLY hot. I turned it down to the lowest setting, and continued without burning myself. Immediately after, I had no side effects. 24 hours later, there are no red marks, and it doesn't itch. Still no side effects. I had a little trouble getting the skin tone sensors to read my skin tone at the shin, and I had to turn it sideways on that area, so it was a little different from shaving my legs. I plan to use the device on my legs and underarms, if I can get the skin tone sensors to work in my pits. I guess I'll see how it's all going in several weeks. I like that it came with a razor, as my current razor is about ready to be replaced.

I will treat this area for 12 weeks and continue to shave my right underarm so that I can compare the two. I plugged in the device and made sure to place it on my skin as directed. It was a little warm but not uncomfortable. I moved it back and forth and tried not to go back over any areas. That was kind of hard so I fear I may have missed some spots. It took less than a minute and 3 minutes later I don't feel anything. No redness either! No pain and the potential for no hair growth over time...Sign me up! I can't wait to try this every week and monitor the progress.

I haven't noticed a significant change in my hair growth just yet but I know I will. I plan on starting on my legs in two weeks when I get back from vacation as the directions say to not be in direct sunlight for seven days after use. I can't wait to use it on my legs! It is very easy to use and the directions are easy. It is a weird sensation when you use it but that goes away in like two seconds. Not too uncomfortable to stop using it or anything. While I know I still have to use it quite a bit more to get to where no hair grows, but I do believe that the hair on my underarm is already growing back more slowly then before the two times I have used the silk expert . I am excited for the next few weeks of use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes when this arrived. After reading the instructions, I gathered that with certain skin colors, this device will not work. For the record, I am a very light skinned African American person. I quickly aligned my skin tone with that of the pamphlet as it stated it would work and went for it! Lo and behold, I was disappointed. The only place I could use it was on my stomach...no legs, no bikini line. The device simply will not work if it thinks that your skin is too dark. Overall, I would love a product that would work...but this just wasn't it. I received this free from Braun in exchange for an honest review. Honestly, if I hadn't received it free, I would be a bit disappointed.

I got the product for free from Braun. I was eager to try it. It looks like an excellent device. I really was hoping it would work but could not get through the initial pain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm excited to see how this all works out. I did the test area and then 24 hrs later I used the silk-expert on my lower legs. It was super easy to use and I did not feel a lot of pain. I know that other areas may be more sensitive, but I'm going to see how my legs work out first. The only complaint that I have is that the instruction booklet is a little hard to follow. I remember reading through bzzagent that I should not use the silk-expert more than once a week on a single location, but the instruction booklet does not say this. If once a week is a requirement, that should be clearly stated in the instruction booklet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy to be able to use the braun laser hair removal. I have used it 4 times now and my hair is already drastically less. I was very hesitant to try it since I had read reviews that it does not work on South Asians. We do have thick hair and lots of it but so far I am noticing a change and from the way it's going, I'm excited to see the final result in 12 weeks. I would of never invested in it just from the reviews but thank you Bzzagent for giving me the opportunity to overcome misconceptions. So easy to use as well. It was so quick and I was done using it on my entire body in 12 min.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's easy to use. It doesn't hurt that much. Initial results are less immediate than with professional treatment but after 4 weeks I'm seeing less regrowth. I'm expecting similar results to professional but it looks like it will take more time.

My initial impression was that this was going to be a difficult item to use... it was intimidating. But... i was proven wrong. With only a few parts - the main unit and some cords - it was super simple. The instructions were clear and is was just as easy to use as set up. Put on your skin and press a button. I did have discomfort on the highest setting, felt like i was being "zapped" but once i changed the setting as directed in the instructions - it was fine. This was my first experience with this type of product and it was all positive. I hope the results are as good as i expect.

I used this product twice on my leg so far. One time each week since I got it. Even though it's only been 2 weeks I do noticed a difference in my hair growth. The hair coming out of the leg is growing slightly slower than normal and less thick. I did not feel any pinch or any discomfort while using the laser. Because the laser is small it took a while to go over my whole leg. But overall, I'm pretty happy with this product. And I can't wait for the long term results of using it.
