So far I have only done one area to start trying out Venus silk-expert. I chose to do a small area under my arms for my first try. It's very easy to set up just plug it in and you are all set to go. You do have to shave first before using and make sure the area is clean I got a shower shaved then treated. For smal areas you just place on area and push a button. It does warn you to close your eyes and look away because the light is very bright. It did hurt a little bit just a small little zap nothing major which it may not bother my legs but I did my under arms which is a more sensitive area. Took about 3 spots to do the area cause you don't want to overlap areas. That was it and you just repeat once a week. It was very easy to use just basically point and click. Can't wait to see the results after using for a while. I haven't tried the large area mode yet but I am looking forward to it and seeing the results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this device for a few weeks now, and I'm a little underwhelmed. I decided to use it everywhere--legs, armpits, and bikini area. It takes forever to work all those areas at once (over 30 min). Unless I am missing something in the directions, I'm not really sure how many more weeks I need to continue this before there are no/less hair. So far I have given myself 4 treatments. And I agree with the other reviewers - the light is still bright even when the decive is right against the skin so with that, the jury is still out on whether this product is worth the time and investment.

I've tried professional laser treatments as well as many at home hair removal treatments, and all of them are either painful, impossible to actually do, or they don't work. I watched a short video on how to use the Gillette Venus Silk-expert device and read the instructions. Seemed easy enough so I gave it a whirl! I was really pleased, as it did not hurt one bit and was a breeze to use! The machine fits nicely into my hand and is foolproof, as it reads your skin tone and adjusts to match. It then emits the hair-removing laser, which feels like a tiny snap but nothing painful. I am in the early stages of trying this out, as you need to use it once per week for 12 weeks to see results, but my first response is two thumbs up based on the ease of use!

Typically, i end up with dry, irritated skin that's flaky/ashy and easily cuts, so I end up with a little red stripes decorating my legs. Using the Gillette® Venus® Silk-expert powered by Braun® a much more enjoyable experience and definitely has reduced the irritation of dry, flaky, and cut up legs after shaving. I can now go at least an extra day or two between shaves, and my hair seems to grow back slightly thinner each time. My legs are MUCH nicer and smoother to the touch. I'm really looking forwards to using the Silk-expert over the winter, when I typically "hibernate" from shaving due to irritation and discomfort. I would recommend this produce to anyone who has issues with sensitivity or suffers from razor irritation, or just wants an easier and more effective way to shave. I was apprehensive before using it, and thought there was NO WAY that it would reduce my hair growth . I woukd normally shave daily, otherwise the stubble was noticeable not only to the touch but to the sight . I've been using this product now approximately 5 weeks , going on to six , and the results are AMAZING !! I've been able to easily go all week without having to shave. The hair has diminished greatly in such a short amount of time. Even the hair under my arms is starting to show less . I have raved to all my friends and coworkers to run out and by one . Definitely more convinient and affordable than going in to a salon to get it done . While I understand everyone's results will vary , I can honestly say that mine have been fantastic . The product has a "quick" mode that you can use to glide over larger areas (like my legs), and a more targeted mode to use for smaller areas (like bikini area or underarms). I've had laser hair removal before at a medical, so this isn't new for me, but I've always been a bit hesitant to try it at hime This Silk expert is lightweight, easy to use, and provides clear directions. The recommendation is to use the device for 12 weeks, and I've been doing it for about 8 now. I've definitely noticed less hair growth, and that what's growing back is more sparse., so ill continue through the final 4 weeks. My skin is quite fair...any complexion products I buy are generally in the light or ivory category, and my hair is a medium brown, so this is a pretty ideal situation for this kind of treatment. There are two things I don't love about this process. The first is that you're not meant to look at the light, but you're also not meant to go over one area of skin twice. It's a bit difficult to.ensure that you're not overlapping while not looking. The other is that, if my skin was feeling at all sensitive, the sensitivity continued for days after the treatment. 2 weeks out of 8, my legs have been quite sore for 5-6 days afterward. That said, if traditional waxing is overly painful for you, this may not be the best course.

I've spent time and money getting lazer treatments and this is similar from the comfort of your home! Pros: - I can see less hair/thinner texture after a few treatments - don't have to leave your house to get the results - comfortable feel to hold Cons - I have sensitive skin, so it is red and tender for a few days, like a sunburn. - is time consuming - very bright light - smell of burn hair is obvious Overall, I am pleased with the results so far!
