[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to try this free product I received from Braun. First of all, the set up is very easy and also easy to store. The manual included was very straightforward, but I must say the safety warnings in there were a little too much. It took me a week to start because I was scared to try it after reading the warnings. However, do be sure to read the manual because it does provide good safety precautions. I did perform the 24 hr patch test, and thankfully didn't experience a reation. I started on my legs first because I want to focus on that area and see the end results with this device. After my first full treatment I did experience a bit of tingle or mild stings but very tolerable. The device itself was very easy to hold however in the beginning I found it a bit tricky to go over the knee and near the ankles. After 4 treatments I have noticed my hair growing out thinner but still growing. Even though it is a very easy to use product and I have not experienced a bad reaction, I'm still neutral about this device as far as results go but looking forward to see what the end results are in the next 2 months!

For the first three weeks, I kept to just my legs below the knee. In that short time, I was so impressed with my results that I decided to expand to my whole leg and under arms. By the fourth week, the regrowth on my legs was in one week what it used to be in a day. By the eighth week, it's no longer necessary for me to do this weekly and I anticipate doing monthly maintenance. For my under arms, results are taking a bit longer, but now being on the sixth week I have noticed dramatic reduction in growth. The downside is that this is a bit of a project. When I decided to do all three areas, I had to set aside about an hour to thoroughly complete the job. After that amount of time, the weight of the product started being a bit uncomfortable. For the backs of my legs, I did enlist help. It's less that it's hard to reach and more that without being able to see, it's harder to make sure you're getting the entire area. I noticed that it was essential to take the equipment apart to clean thoroughly after each use. It doesn't seem like a messy thing, but any particles that are on the top get fried by the light and it's not a good situation. So even if it doesn't look dirty, clean it anyway. This is simple and fast with well written instructions. I'm likely to discontinue use on my underarms, as the results have been less consistent, but for my legs this is a game changer. A reasonable time investment up front yielding very satisfying results in the long run at a much more affordable price than professional. Having the flexibility to do this on my own schedule and in my own home was a really significant benefit. My mother and sister have been eyeing the results with envy and I might have to keep an eye on my silk expert in case they try to take it for a spin!! Overall my expectations in this product were exceeded. I would highly recommend this for women seeking to spend less time shaving over the long haul.

My target area for hair removal is my underarms, which appears to have minimal visible hairs after this 8 week period. When I first received the Gillette Venus Silk-expert IPL, I was concerned about how my skin would react to the treatment, as I am very sensitive to pain. I was delighted that when used as directed, the Gillette Venus Silk-expert IPL feels like a rubber-band snapping against my skin. It also feels a bit warm as the light pulses. The Gillette Venus Silk-expert IPL is very easy to use. After plugging into the outlet, the unit is powered on and ready to be used. My skin tone is read automatically with its unique SensoAdapt skin tone sensor, which adjusts the intensity of the IPL for safety and efficiency. There is a small button to select one of 3 modes, including an "extra-gentle mode" for sensitive skin like mine. The other button (a much bigger one) is pressed for the pulsed light, and it can be held down for working on larger areas, known as "gliding mode." The gliding mode automatically pulses about once every 2 seconds. Just remember to close your eyes when the light is pulsing. I am very happy with the results as seen in my photo. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. I have had no issues or adverse effects with using the Gillette Venus Silk-expert IPL.

I will treat this area for 12 weeks and continue to shave my right underarm so that I can compare the two. I plugged in the device and made sure to place it on my skin as directed. It was a little warm but not uncomfortable. I moved it back and forth and tried not to go back over any areas. That was kind of hard so I fear I may have missed some spots. It took less than a minute and 3 minutes later I don't feel anything. No redness either! No pain and the potential for no hair growth over time...Sign me up! I can't wait to try this every week and monitor the progress.

I had not hear of this product prior to receiving it in the mail but was so excited just opening the box and seeing how pretty it is. For anyone thinking about getting this product know that it's not an immediate fix to any hair growth and that it does take time. The instructions do say that it will take about 12 weeks of treatment and then monthly follow up. It's super simple to use and painless. It feels like I have a real spa service in my home.

I was an everyday shaver not because I wanted to but because I had to. I hate hair on my legs, arms and underarms. If I cant see them but feel them I have to shave. I have tried waxing, hair removal creams, and epilators (so painful). The IPL was so easy to use. After shaving and drying your skin well I plugged the IPL in and placed onto my skin and pressed a button. After 4 weeks of use I noticed changes in the hair texture and I didn't have noticeable hair growth by midday as usual. I completed my 6th treatment yesterday and can honestly say only certain areas on my legs required treatment. I only shave my legs twice a week!!! My underarms continue to require full treatments however I am noticing a difference with the texture and the growth time is decreasing. I continue to shave my underarms daily. I am really happy with the results! Well worth the cost!

I received the box and immediately opened it to see what I was dealing with. The unit was a little larger than I expected, but I can hold and grip it comfortably. It isn't very heavy, so I can easily hold it for an entire treatment. The instructions were pretty easy to follow and after shaving a test patch area ( I did right above my ankle on the inside of my leg), I powered it up. It was ready to go pretty much immediately, and as I put the treatment part up to my leg as the machine selected the max level because of my light skin tone and dark hair. I figured I would start with what was sure to be the most painful setting and adjust from there. It surprisingly wasn't painful, except for a very small sting that went away pretty much immediately. I did professional hair removal many years ago, and the sting with this unit was nowhere close to my experience years ago. I think the aging is the strongest where there may be more hair that wasn't shaved as well or when you are in a more bony area. After the treatment, there was no redness or any sign that I had treated it. Looking forward to see how this works after weekly treatments!!

I thought it would be super annoying and have to charge but I opened it and plugged it in and it was ready to go! I started on my underarms to try a smaller area. It was super easy and comfortable to use and I felt like it got the smaller harder to reach area under my arm. The only thing was it was a little bright for me, I have light eyes so they are kind of sensitive so I can wear sunglasses to help with that. I am super excited to see the results over time and can't wait to do my next treatment!

I have not had any true discomfort, just some irritation after shaving, but I think it might be because I am shaving skin off instead of hair. It is habit to shave both armpits daily in the shower. The armpit that I have used the Gillette Venus Silk expert on has decreased with hair growth compared to the other armpit that I did not treat. The hair grows slower and is sparse, but there is still hair growth. I am hoping that after sixteen weeks the hair growth will stop. After this week, I will start treating the other armpit. At work it has begun to be a game about my armpit hair growth and this product. Co-workers are very interested in this product and if is works. I have explained that the product works depending on skin tone, skin sensitivity, and usage, so results could very per person. For BzzAgent this product is hard to rate because the true results take time. I have enjoy using the product and will continue to use this product. I wish that it could be used on the face.

(I continue to use the box to store everything!) I took out all the pieces, read through the directions, shaved all the hair I wanted to remove using the Venus razor they give you, dried off and plugged the device in. At this point I will still a little apprehensive because I wasn't sure how my body would react, so I made sure to do a patch test, waited an hour or so and continued on. Overall, it is an easy process and I would much rather be doing this at home then deal with the hassle of an office visit. Things I noticed while doing this process (I am 3 weeks in so far): - A warm sensation on the spot you are doing the treatment - You may smell a little burnt hair - It "bites" a bit in sensitive areas like your bikini zone and a little under the arms. - In week three I am starting to notice a little less hair (direction mention that you get the best results in 12 weeks) - You need to be flexible to get some areas of you legs. I am excited to keep using it! To not have to shave my legs or underarms ever again will be an amazing day!
