Not sure this stuff works. Started taking the Gell Cap version of the Stool Softener 36 hour before hernia surgery since anesthesia is reported to cause constipation. My first 3 bowel movements seemed awful rough. I will never know if it could have been worse I guess, but no stool even close to what anyone would call soft. I would try a different product next time.

I have been in the hospital for 5 days on meds that severely constipated me. They gave me two of these tablets and a couple hours later my stomach started rumbling. I was on the toilet for twenty or so minutes pooping my brains out. It was wonderful for my body but a horrible experience for me. All of it at once was not was I was expecting which sent me into a horrible panic attack. It did the job though!!! It’s not their fault diarrhea/cramps trigger my panic attacks.

If you're sensitive to pills like this I would say take only one to two three is way too much. To me one is fine it will take the whole 12 hours if your stomach is not sensitive. My stomach is not sensitive and I took two and it worked a lot faster, like the 6 hours. But if you want to work faster and you take more you probably will get some form of cramps. I'd recommend and buy this to people who need this type of product. Packaging is easy enough to open. If you what to know the ingredients, I took a picture of the back of the packaging. The ingredients are very clean! It did have my stools very loose, but that’s the whole point and the price point is amazing! 

There is nothing that I can say good about this product. Took tablet at 8.30pm I be woken up at 2.30am with the worst stomach cramps (stabbing pain), projectile vomiting and cold sweat. I thought I was going to collapse. Eventually after 4 hours of this pain I had the worst diarrhoea you could ask for. Would not recommend you use on a child of any age as the pain is excruciating. You feel like you are about to die.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free for review. I used it at night before bed and was able to go in the morning. There was no overnight cramping and I did not feel crampy the rest of the day either. Definitely would recommend this product in the future.

oh my gosh....this is my biggest regret in a while. I’d rather deal with the mild constipation I was experiencing than take this ever again. I took 2 pills around 1 with a lot of water. I went to sleep and about 4 hours later I woke up with the worst stomach pains of my life. I hadn’t made the connection to the dulcolax for a few moments, so at first I thought something was terribly wrong with my insides. Then moments passed again and I broke out into a cold sweat. I was shaking violently and in a pool of my own sweat but also shivering and asking my boyfriend to turn the AC on/off every 10 minutes. Just when I thought I experienced all it had to offer, I ended up sprinting into the bathroom to vomit. My first BM didn’t occur for another like 6 hours, and when it did...well, I think I’ll save your eyes from reading the rest. Don’t buy this unless you love the feeling of being in labor and having extreme food poisoning at the same time.

One thing people should know is INSIDE the box it rells you which one you should buy depending on your situation. Maybe they should mention that in the ad. Forrunately I had done some on line research before going to Wal-Mart and picked this one. Directions say to take 1-3 of them before bed and being I had only been constipated 3 days and weigh 130 I went with 1 and that worked just great with no cramping or too much looseness. Worth every penny and was cheap at less than 2.00 for 8.
