I PURCHASE ROKU ABOUT A MONTH AGO, EASY TO SET UP. IT TOOK ME AWHILE TO GET USE TO AND LIKE IT BUT I AM GLAD I HAVE IT NOW. I JUST WISH THERE WAS FREE ACCESS TO CHANNELS I MISS TLC - HGTV I KEPT BASIC BROADCAST BUT I AM HOPING TO LEARN MORE TO GET RID OF IT.

This is my 3rd Roku device. I already had the OG streaming stick and the Roku 3 hub. Got the new streaming stick for Xmas. Roku platform is leaps ahead of other "Smart" TV platforms. No competition. My next TV will probably be a Roku TV as well. Hopefully they will continue to push those out.

My Roku streaming stick + will work for awhile, then I will come back it will say the video portion is not supported. I went through all of the suggestions and even called support for Roku, which is another story, and it still will do this on occasion. I will be taking back.

I have had two roku products. The hdmi stick works well but not nearly as well as this new + model. The roku 2 I have has been retired. It was a good product but did not work with youtube. This new ss+ works great with all services. It is faster and receives a better signal from my wireless modem.

We live in a rural area with lower than ideal connection speeds. I had been relying upon an LG Blu-Ray player for streaming options from our main television, but it no longer was able to connect. I bought a new router, then purchased a new LG device, but the system still wasn't streaming. My son, a mechanical engineering major at OSU, suggested a device with a much stronger receiver and antenna, and he suggested this Roku. I ended-up returning the new LG and buying the Roku instead. It works perfectly. No connection problems whatsoever anymore. I really appreciate your device!

I purchased 2 Rokus in the Fall to replace my old ones. Then I had a small television I wanted Roku on but limited with electrical outlets so I purchased a Roku stick this time. All I had to do was to plug in the stick in the USB and run the other end of the cord into the HDMI outlet on back of television...no cords to the outlet showing. Love all of my Rokus.

I bought this to replace a Roku stick that was provided with my JVC TV back in 2014. The performance increase is amazing...everything boots & loads very quickly and there are no buffering issues. The Remote has a back-skip function but needs a skip-ahead function. Ideally both should be user definable for the amount of time desired.

Bought my second Roku device, the first has been working flawlessly for 5 years, the new one (stick) was a breeze to install and configure. I have a Samsung 60 inch and plugged the stick directly into the HDMI port on the AV box. I also used the USB port on the box to power the stick. I watch all types of videos yesterday, from actio adventure movies, CGI, and animation. All formats played without issue. Overall the am very pleased with the Roku product line both old and new.

I bought two Roku Model 3810 Streaming Sticks (as replacements for older models) and had them installed by a cable professional rather than myself. Initially both worked well, however one stopped working the same day of installation. The same professional returned today, confirmed that the stick was not functioning as designed, inserted new batteries and paired it again. At the moment all seems normal. Fingers crossed!

I've had it for a few weeks and just today when I turned it on the tv came in and when it got to the main roku screen at the top it said "not connected" and the screen was frozen. That means I couldn't even get to the settings for the network. I ended up turning it off unplugging the roku. I then had to release the ip address and reassign it ( I use static ip"s for everything. I finally got it to work again. We"'ll see if it happens again. If it does then I will revert back to my old Roku HD.
