I bought one as a Christmas present for my father. I loved it so much I bought two more for my own house.  Prior to buying my Roku I was Using an outdated Apple TV3 I decided it cost less to buy a Roku so I would try it. I fell in love with the product  instantly 

We purchased the Streaming Stick+ the same that we got a new Samsung 4k TV. Mostly it works ok but sometimes we get the dreaded "purple screen" telling us that "HDCP is unavalible. For help..." The only fix for this appears to getting a new cable or perhaps jiggling the one currently installed. The only problem with this idea is that we don't have a cable in the system! As we don't yet have a home theater box in the system the stick is plugged directly into the TV! The only cure seems to disconnecting (or changing) the power supply to the stick. We're working with customer support to resolve this problem and I have confidence that it will be, eventually, but for now, I'm getting plenty of exercise constantly changing the power & resetting the stick. I will also say that the delays in getting it fixed have been 100% my fault as we have had a lot of distractions in the last few days. Isn't that usually the case? Besides this little problem, the 4k/UHD has been nothing short of spectacular with the Stick+ and the new 75" Samsung TV. Maybe "stunning" is a better way to describe it? Or perhaps both stunning and spectacular says it even better! Definitely recommend it as it gets used constantly, as did our previous Roku. It will be 5 stars once the purple sceen thing is resolved. I bought this for my tv in my bedroom that I have mounted to the wall, the plug is the back of the TV and the stick won't let my tv go back flat to the wall. I was able to switch it with my other Roku device from the living room, but then found out after an hour of trying that you can't use a universal remote with the stick version also. I still like the Roku and how it functions though.

First time Roku stick owner and I love it. There are a number of channels you can access, some require a cable subscription but not all. I pay separately for Netflix, and with that and all the other free movie and TV programs you can get, it's more than enough. The only issue I found is that you are limited in what live news casts you can get. It has a local access channel but you can't choose which local broadcast you get. You just turn it on and sometimes it's channel 9, sometimes 4, other times 7, and I haven't figured out how they determine which one they show. But it's enough to get local weather and traffic. In the end, you only pay the one-off price for the stick, and not the expensive monthly cable bill, so it does save money.

I love my ruko and it works wonderful....as long as it's in same room as the router! We have two and not usually on at same time but the one that is 20 feet away in another room it does not work well at all.. keeps having to "find" the wireless signal. I'm disappointed in that and it gets frustrating.

I love the casting and mirror feature but definitely need more options outside of the USA I live I Jamaica and I'm limited to some of the more useful features..such as..Voice search..secondly..I can't really find an app that show more recent or current movies..too many primitive movies and none of the up the time moves..disappointed I might add!

The product is a simple one but convenient in the sense you can find everything there in one place and I really like that and my kids do to, the only big problem with the stick is the Xfinity app, Let me explain my self I take my family camping a lot and I would like to be able to take the stick and watch the Xfinity app on the go like I do in my phone but I can't do to the fact that you need the same WiFi which I don't like, and that's a mayor no-no for me cause when my Littlest one gets cranky he needs his cartoons please fix and maybe all change review thanks.

We have two Roku 3 and two Roku sticks. I would use the voice command of the Roku 3 but it does it recognize what I am saying so it is a waste of money. Also I wish the channels I use all the time would be the first ones showing, like Acorn streaming channel is way down the list.

I've had the Roku streaming stick plus for about two weeks now and it works great. it replaced a Roku 3 and I think it is a little faster. I like the way it turns my TV on and off without having to use the TV remote first. I kept the Roku 3 for the guest bedroom....it works great also!

A little on-screen message had been popping up occasionally that there was a "faster" ROKU streaming stick available. Ended up purchasing the newer "stick" in hopes that it would be faster than my early adopter ROKU stick. It was well worth the up-grade. Very fast response, much faster log-ins to my pay sites and overall better performance on my 5G network.
